What Is The Next LTO Plate Number Format?

Hi guys,

I was just wondering... since the current plate numbers are already nearing the limit of our 3 char + 3 num format so yung question ko... is LTO already thinking of a new format? Or atleast may balita ba kayo of any proposal? Sa web site kasi ng LTO wala pa ako nakikitang article regarding this. I'm sure they will not "re-use" old numbers.

Hehe kasi parang gusto kong hintayin yung bagong plates kung bibili man ako ng new car.

So far nakikita ko pa din ay Z at 3 characters and 3 letters ang plate nila..Next year bibili din kami ng bagong tsikot..Sana 3 character 2 numbers na lang or 2 characters and 3 numbers..

7 characters is the logical way to go. pwede din 2-letters 4-numbers. just speculating

I don't think they would do that. Kapag na-issue na ang registration plate it should only be matched sa isang sasakyan lang ;-) How would LTO know na hindi na ginagamit ang sasakyan? Paano kung may kaso yung sasakyan (i.e., hot car, stolen car, involved sa isang criminal investigation)?

Btw, it seems to me merong mga gaps sa plate number sequence ... like I haven't seen cars with Q na starting letter nor O nor I ... hmmm letter K?

meron nf letter K kasi yung nakabanggang Rav4 sa akim, KDK-*** and plate number...

nope... special plates yan... +P25K kapag AAA 11 ang format mo.

Siguro, the logical way would be to use 7 characters.

Pero para sa akin, I want 8 characters

Parang sa Singapore but with a different format:

Example: 3CL8759Q (one number - two letters - four numbers - one letter)

The Europlate design will look nice, at least in front.

Maybe they should start using I, O and Q for the new letters.

the LTO have started using the letters I, O, Q since around 2 yrs ago.

hindi exempted ang special plate na 3 letters, 2 numbers.
