    Tsikot experts / Vios owners,
My top options are now b/new Vios E or J, or 2nd hand Vios E or G (new look) at 400k+ range.
Thank you po in advance sa mga ma-share nyong answers sa kin.

    1) Nalilito po ako kung may lalabas nga na new gen Vios by end of this year? If so, then oks ba bumili na ng b/new ngayon, o maghintay o pili na lang ng iba ngayon?

    2) About Used car dealers: napansin ko, parang ang baba ng mga odo km readings nila, e.g. 2007 model 20k km pa lang. Possibly tampered? And medyo nga mas mataas price nila kesa direct - is it worth it?

    3) If buying 07 or 08 model, ano po mga critical odo reading milestones for "big time" maintenance works - e.g. 40k/60k/etc for belts replacement, suspension replacement, overhaul, other major works.

E.g. city (b/new or used), Kia Rio (used, mukhang low resale), others ...

By the way, company car loan po - b/new or used.

Eto lang po muna, marami na.
    Thank you very much.

Nothing to worry abt sa Major Works.

also don't buy at car sales. Usualy Dinadaan nila sa kinis at accessories yung kotse at ang mahal nila mag presyo

    I can suggest to you

08 Honda City ( ranges to 330k the cheapest upto 420k)

    2nd Gen Altis. (03-07)

Thanks for the quick reply sir mikomac.

Mga 450-500 nga yung mga tipo ko na 07 or 08 G (I'm strictly for M/T).
Pero kung E, dapat medyo lower price naman sa G same year.

Noted your caution about Used Car Dealers.

So nothing to worry if 60k to 80k odo na ang 07/08model?
What should I look for sa casa record booklet in this case?

Na consider ko rin nga City 07/08.
Not too familiar w/ their trims.
    VTEC is 1.5 right?
And 1.3 IDSI has 2 variants, base model and was the other S?
What are the differences in the amenities of the two 1.3's?

    Sorry about Altis.
    Dati sya ang pinakagusto ko.
Pero now I'm thinking of car price and gas economy, and not to mention the oil sludging issue.

    Thanks ng marami talaga.

    eto options mo na maganda

    hyundai accent - bago, modern
ford fiesta - bago din at techy
honda jazz - hindi na masyado bago, but spacious at madali pormahan

Sir yapoy86, thanks for the suggestions.
Although what surprises me sa Jazz is it looks too smal from the outside pero people claim it is very spacious inside.
I'm curious about Ford Fiesta. And dami nagsasabi maganda, both looks and dami ng amenities.
I saw the new accent blue, pero the loan limit again will give me only the base model.

Sir, dagdag nalang ng konti and get the Accent 1.4GL M/T at 588k. Sulit na sulit yan, maganda tingnan at lakas pa ng makina.

Sir GTI, thanks for the suggestion.
    And yes, mas malakas makina.
How about sa amenities sir - parang wala ba central lock yung Accent?

Especially since talagang barebones na barebones yan. The Accent has an onboard computer, power windows and mirrors (nakakapagtaka nga kung bakit wala siyang power locks since it has power windows and mirrors, but it can be added as an option) and its sound system includes USB input besides the much more powerful engine. Not sure though kung yung Vios ngayon may all power features na.

    Thanks pasaway and GTI.

Pero question lang - I totally don't mean to question people's knowledge - but how can we say this new accent is really good if it's very new? because of the CRDI Accent's performance?
Two things I surely like in Accent over Vios - looks and engine power.
What I dislike so far - Very new model (in terms of actual test in everyday use), and sorry Hyundai owners, but I'm a bit worried about the casa service stories I hear that are worse than the stories from other brands.

Again pardon for questioning people's opinions.
    Thanks

wala pa gaanong FC figures since bago pa lang (kahit sa 1.6 trim, wala pang nagpopost ng actual FC based on refill method)

Meron rin naman mga good casa(as suggested by SG), so dun ka na lang magpa-service.

with the price difference ng accent at vios J, siguro pwede mo na palagay yung power locks.

I bought a Vios 1.3E AT last year. Kung ngayon ako bibili, I most likely would get the new Accent 1.4 GL A/T.

For me, I'd avoid the 1.3J and 1.4GL M/T as both don't have ABS (although yung 1.3J merong driverside airbag).

If you want to buy brand new, my vote goes to the Accent 1.4GL AT, just stretch your budget as its worth the added price.

Thanks to all for the new replies.
    More votes for the Accent.
I must admit lalo ako na-sway...

sir chyll2, yun ang question sa isip ko.
Because from CRDI eh gas na ang bagong Accent, I'm thinking di pa proven ang performance ng new engine na to. (Or is it old already?)

sir anonemus, M/T lang talaga target ko for this one.
    If it's 1.8L enginer pataas, I'd consider A/T. No offense. It's just me about A/T for sub-compacts.

sir yapoy, these are interesting new info.

My goal for this weekend - visit Hyundai showroom.
    Sana may base model.
    TY

Sir, I think you mean walang wireless yung "J". Pero may central driver side lock.
Nate-tempt tuloy ako mag "E" na lang.
May offer na 30K discount so 655k na lang.

btw, im no sir here.. hehe I'm newbie and very much, a creeper lang sa site :D

im not sure about the accent, kaso yung 2nd Gen Vios ng officemate ko. ayaw nya ng madaming tao.. kung magpasakay sya eh dapat daw payat hehehe.. kasi sumasayad talaga sa humps.

And yes, new engine yung 1.4L ng accent. but dont forget the 5 year warranty ng hyundai as opposed to the standard 3 years ng iba.

Agree ako sa lahat ng nag vote for Accent.

Sulit na. All-power (Steering, windows, side mirror) for 588K.

Gen 2 Vios 1.5G user here, pero I prefer 2011 Accent.

Instead of getting a low-end Vios get an Accent instead for 588k for M/T or 680k for A/T both 1.4L but if you're getting a Vios G, I think it's okay. I like the Vios G more than an Accent Blue. I don't know why.

Accent na talaga. There are some Accent 1.4GL owners here who have told their stories at the Accent thread, and it is very positive with reports about lots of power and excellent fuel mileage even if it was still at its break-in period. Its so good that many have already logged hundreds of kilometers within the first few days! With just 588k you get the performance of the much more expensive 1.5L Vios already, perhaps even better due to the superior power to weight ratio. A steal talaga no matter how you put it. You can PM Sir EJS12129 for a good offer.
