this is actually why some "intelligent" rich people don't buy brand new. bili ka nang unit na less than a year old, then sell it after 2-3 years. this is how to protect yourself from the initial drop in value the minute the car rolls of the lot.

resale value is pretty tricky kasi ang dami rin naman factors to consider (condition of the car, mileage, popularity of the model, original selling price when brand new etc.) so mahirap rin to generalize kung ok ang resale value ng isang kotse. more than the resale value, one should also consider actual cost of ownership. baka in the long run, even if mas mataas yung resale value ng isang kotse, pero mataas rin yung cost of ownership, quits lang, or baka better off ka pa with the unit na "lesser resale value".

All i'm saying thats what a lot of people thinking nowadays and thats how roughly in my estimate cars depreciate. thats is IMHO

True. Held its value for a ridiculously long time.

Finally going down, but stabilizing again at the 350k range, so far as I can see.

Kasi, walang kapalit. The RS is a better car in most ways, but it doesn't have that wonderfully high revving engine.

Miata din, good resale... but because it's now a rare and desirable classic. Same with the Beetle.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Japanese cars like Honda and Toyota have good resale value, unlike Nissan.

I think because of the old notion that parts are expensive for Nissan. But expensive din naman like Honda, although Honda has that "status symbol" notion kasi.

Recently sold my 2005 Honda Jazz 1.3 S M/T for 420K bought it brand new for P550. I think nowadays fuel efficient cars have high resale value because of the cost of fuel
