Got this from HCP:

Assistant Secretary Bert Suansing launched new texting services for people buying second hand vehicle.

Just text LTO VEHICLE plus plate number of the vehicle (ex. LTO VEHICLE ABC123 ) and send to 2600.

I tried mine and got a reply in less than 10 seconds!

You get: make/model/color/last registration/any lto apprehension or alarm notification.

BTW: It costs 2.50 per text. Works for Globe, Smart & Sun

ayos ah! pero kinabahan me bago kasi bili car ko kala ko carnap o may problem ang tagal kasi nung dumating ang reply after 10 mins yata. hehe smart ginamit ko.

Privacy issue yun pero sana nga meron kahit sana Initials or other form of identification. Tried it too. bilis nga.

ang isa pang gamit nito is yung mga nagiisip na mag pa change color ng car. yung iba kasi akala komo di nakalagay sa OR nila color ng car e pwede na magpalit. hehehe.

delikado yan. security and privacy problem. imagine mo may bad guy na may binabalak na masama, sa isang text alam na niya kotse mo.

does it work for cars and motorcycles? hindi pa rin dumariting yung text sa akin. 5 mins na. smart user din ako. para doon sa mga naka-receive agad, globe users ba kayo? hindi kaya dahil luma na yung kotse ko?
