    Hi guys!!

I wanna know your opinions about this... Do you think Series3/Series4 Sentras can last for 5 years or more? Assuming it's taken good care of.. Thank you!

It can last for more than five years. Just keep it in good repair and have a trusted auto repair shop that can help you fix the car when something does go wrong.

Kapag maalaga ka sa kotse di lang 5 years, kahit pa 15 years, 20 years pa yan hindi problema! Just look at the AE92 Corollas and Lancer "Singkit"s still on the road. Here's an N16 Sentra Exalta for a negotiable 250k, you may want to check it out.

    just my 2 cents,,

if its a "pang harabas" car, i'd go for a corolla, my personal favorite is the AE90 (small body) just get a 2E engine for fuel efficiency, dami pyesa nyan, napakadaling i maintain provided na sariwa pa ang kuha, and when you finally decide to sell it, mas mataas value ng mga ka edad nyan na sentra,, i'd say yes if another good deal of corolla comes to my way, you could get one for less than 100K kung talagang masipag ka lang maghanap..

for the sentras yup over all performance at par sila, of course the cold aircon that comes with them kahit luma na model, im a previous owner of both cars, pero i prefer the corollas.. sarap paglaruan..

Are there many surplus parts in banawe? engine parts, accessories, etc? My friends said that the price of surplus parts of toyotas are lower by a huge margin (thousands of pesos) compared to nissans. Is this true?

Yes. even whole engines, body panels, seats, bumpers, light assemblies, etc.

No. I had both cars (99 corolla / 96 sentra) for a while and prices for the sentra aren't that much more than for the corolla. Both cars also have OEM "replacement" parts so surplus aren't your only option.
