Hello fellow tsikoteers! I'm doing a thesis for a major tire brand for cars as a requirement for completion of my degree in CSB. I need your help!
Here's my question:
"What are the factors that you consider when choosing/buying tires?"
I know that there are different factors that affect your buying decision so please state the following info as well:
* name/model/year of the vehicle the tires will be installed to
* purpose (circuit racing, drag-racing, off-roading, everyday driving, etc.)
* tire size
* brand/line of tires
Thank you so much for your help!

"What are the factors that you consider when choosing/buying tires?"
#1 - Durability - How long the tread lasts and how strong the sidewalls are. Thicker sidewalls my be less comfortable, but there's less chance of compromised tire life when you hit a "rim-breaker" pothole.
#2 - Grip - Even if I'm buying tires for a commuter, where I don't need ultimate grip, I tend to buy tires that are stickier than their competition.
#3 - Resistance to Aquaplaning - But it's not so important, personally, because I tend to slow down in the rain.
#4 - Price - siyempre... but I tend to care more about performance versus durability than performance versus price. When I was poor, this was higher on my list...
#5 - Comfort - last place... but most modern cars have good suspensions and sound-proofing, so it's not as much of an issue as it used to be.
