I was actually looking for Altis lang when I chanced upon this Pearl White Camry. From the pics, everything seems okay at sabi nung owner coding car lang daw. Eh since di pa ako familiar sa resale value nito I thought the price is too good to be true. When I have done my due diligence and ready to put in my offer ayun, nabenta na.

On topic, I was just watching this clip on You Tube sort of dissing the Lotus Elite. The onset of social media sort of democratized this segment din. When previously we can only read "praise releases" now you get the perspective from actual owners and experts.

And I thought I was middle class. But I can't even afford a Fortuner

I remember a distant relative saying, "for a car priced at 2M, I'd rather buy SUV." I even heard a comment, "why buy that car when you can have a 'better' SUV?"

For most of those with SUV's "flood safe reason that I bought this", I have yet to see them wade through a hand span deep flooded road. I find this very annoying that I see them so "afraid" to go through and would cause a traffic jam. As I am familiar with the road, I'll go through the shoulder and pass all of them. The only instance that I'll stop is that when I'll be passing a jeepney. I don't want the passengers to get wet.

However, I admit that I won't have the guts to do this if I'm driving a car.

Exactly *uls, ako kumpleto ako talaga. I have 2 washmitts color-coded, isa pangtaas, isa pangbaba. I have tirebrush for the tires, a squegee a pail only for washing purposes, and i stock up with German - made drying towels. In my garage cabinet, kailangan lagi may degreaser and multipurpose cleaner, car shampoo, quick detailer, tireblack, plastic trims blacker and leather sprays , and a glass cleaner,. I even have a separate vacuum cleaner for my cars only.
And my water spray, kailangan adjustsble, depende kung sa sobrang putik or hindi naman umulan the entire week

Would you beleive, i even bought this tireblack applicator for P300 lol

Para sakin the hardest part of cleaning is the tire brushing nad the wheel wells brushing, i dedicate an entire 10 minutes for that each car.

And also dont forget to make the plate numbers super neat, kasi sayang eyesore yun di mo nilikinis plate numbers or bingkong

It's a judgemental world after all.

More on porma mga tao ngayon, they choose form over functionality. Hay people.

    *edit

Which i realised na rugged na gusto ng mga tao. Even high-end fashion brands are going rugged na rin. hehe slight OT.

and i don't buy that "para sa baha" reason

gusto ng tao ang SUV kasi everyone's driving an SUV

it's keeping up with friends and neighbors and kamaganak...

    parang "join the club"
