What is the procedure when selling a car through a second hand shop?
Ok lang bang iwanan yun kotse sa kanila? What kid of documents do we get? etc.

i believe you're referring to consignments.

what i think you'll just have to leave is the photocopied OR and CR. then get the rest of your things out of the car (this includes all the tools etc and the jack--baka hindi na ibalik sayo yan, lalo na pag di mo kilala yun nandun)

pero kung yung kausap mo ay buy and sell, babayaran ka na agad nun, then transfer all the necessary documents to a blank name (para pangtransfer nya sa bibili sa kanya). parang binili na rin sayo yung auto.

kung ahente naman yan, dadalhin nya na lang sayo yung buyer. his (ahente) compensation will depend on what you have talked about (like you are the one to give him his percentage or the buyer will be the one to give him that). then you transfer the title to the buyer. parang middleman lang yung ahente. binigyan ka lang ng customer

You can also pose as a "seller", tapos rent ka ng slot sa kanila. They also get a portion when it is sold yata... Yun lang dapat kakilala mo yung shop owner para walang lokohan.

di ba may bayad din pag pinark mo sa garage nila... on a monthly basis, hiwalay pa yung cut nila once na sold yung oto mo..

IMO, try your best to find for a direct buyer para wala ng bawas yung price na gusto mo talagang mabenta yung oto mo.

ingat ka when issuing the deed of sale (4 copies para ok!) madaming lokohan na nangyari dyan.
kung consignment, agree ako with the aBove posts. don't hand in the originals yet. i'll try to think of other tips. none come to mind as of yet. hehe umaga pa kasi..

cguraduhin mong alam mo lahat ng nasa oto mo before mo i-display sa shop nila, alam mo dapat kung ano ung sira(kung meron man), importante din na alam mo ung mileage ng oto mo, baka kse ginagamit nila sa gabi wahehehe

IMO, unless you personally know the consignee well, it's better not to leave the car with them as marami talagang lokohan sa mga ganyan ngayon. If you do so, maybe you should also document their receipt of your vehicle.

Why not put up an add in a paper like the Manila Bulletin on a weekend and sell the car on your own?

worrisome nga iwanan, ang daming monkey business na pwedeng mangyari.
i was hoping that there might be some kind of documentation that can make us feel more secure with leaving the car with a 2nd hand dealer. I guess we'l just try to sell on our own for the moment as you guys suggested. thanks.
