Haven't checked this thread for a while, and it seems the topic has drifted a bit. Anyways, the Missus won and we are now a proud owner (not sure yet if I am, still wanting to get that Fortuner) of a Mitsu Xpander. Missus was loving it, and my son is quite happy including my in-laws, so that's the consolation.

Bought it cash.. reading the pages of my thread, someone recommended going on financing. The thing is, I think financing is a double whammy - you get to pay the high interest rate while at the same time suffering the depreciation.. Will only do financing option for real property since the rate is lower, you can stretch the term longer, and the property appreciate in value later.

Thank you all for the inputs, and keep the discussion going Meantime, I'm going to lurk in the Mitsu threads and see what I can find on what to look out for the new Xpander in terms of maintenance and cost of ownership.

Toyota na sana nang ma testing eh, naunsyami naman. First car was a Mitsu Singit (89), next was a Nissan LEC (91), then a Honda Civic Lxi (97), and last was a Honda Civic 2.0 (04) which has served us well up to this date. This is my first time to own a brand new car, and I have a mixed feeling about it

You can get the Fortuner next time, when you have saved up for a "coding car". Mas mura na yun by then. [emoji23]

Sabi bro cancerous daw yung off gassing ng plastics/adhesives that give that new car smell? In China they even made huge effort to eliminate that smell coz they don't like it. Baka sira na pang amoy nila with all the pollution 😆

But yeah new cars still smell nice hehe
