Hi tsikoteers, please help me choose in which car to buy for family. Budget is around 400-500k

    Toyota Innova M/T
    Gas variant
    or
    Toyota Innova M/T
    Diesel Variant
    or
    Mitsu. Adventure

Of the three, which is more comfortable and less headache in terms of maintenance since these are all 2nd hand.

    Please help po, thanks

Bad fuel ang cause nito. Basta magpakarga ka lang sa mga reputable gas stations and you're good to go na

I will also choose Innova diesel MT.

tagal pa ng june, magbabago pa ulit isip mo before then e.

just stay away from chinese cars and you'll be fine. best bet mo toyota innova diesel m/t. matagal nang na-solved yung d4d problems.

mitsu adventure? sure reliable din and easy maintenance. but mabagal, same as isuzu crosswind. kung city driving ka lang ok, pero pag nasa hiway ka na you will find it hard to keep up. di ka man lang maka-overtake ng tricycle sa mcarthur hiway. a 3.5 hours trip to baguio for most of us will be a 5-6 hours trip for you. also, mausok. peyborit customer ka na ng mga asbu, malayo ka pa lang sinusulat na yung smoke belching ticket mo.

^The Adventure's not that bad... When I brought the similarly slow diesel Revo to Baguio, it only took me around 4 hours, and it was daytime. No problem cruising the highway at 100-120km/h, overtaking long trucks and buses is possible, let alone tricycles, though it is a rather long and drawn-out affair, as if you're trying to overtake in slow motion, especially if you are used to more powerful vehicles.

You can still push through with your existing choices even when considering brand new units with a 900k budget. You'd just have to settle for the lower variants (Adventure GLX * 860k, Innova 2.5J *897k and 2.0J at 842k)

The diesel Innova is definitely the best pick. It's durability and reliability has been proven over the years with many high mileage units still plying the streets. Major engine parts can be quite expensive should they fail, but that is not expected to happen anytime soon with a well maintained unit.

If you don't mind the lack of power, the Adventure is the cheapest to maintain. There are no delicate electronics to go wrong, and should anything fail, parts and even whole engine replacements are cheap and can be found everywhere.

A wildcard choice for a brand new car with a 900k budget would be the base Strada. At 880k before discounts, I find it a pretty good deal, especially if you don't need the 3rd row.

    Sir blaster101,

(kahit lack of safety features like ABS, airbag), basta maingat at responsible sa pag drive, no problem at all.

(entry level pick-up)

Since yung budget nyo po ay increased ng 900K, if ever naman po na meron pa kayong max. ceiling budget, or stretched budget.. in 6months, makakapili na po kayo, at malaki ang chance na ma-consider nyo po yung mga mid size SUV model/CUV.
