Brand new? Quality has improved over the years. The only problem is parts are expensive should anything break.

    what can I say..?

    sobrang mahal!!

    pero sulit naman, sobrang ganda..

para ka nang naka-exped in a little package..

P2.9M ba price nyan ngayon? same as exped 5.4L na!

ung parts siguradong mahal din.. plus ung mga electronic doodles.. may issue din talaga hehe..

okay ung diesel engine.. 2.5L turbo sobrang tipid at malakas.

pero kung ako ung bibili.. toyota prado na lang.. P2.9M din ang price.

An all-new '07 Freelander will be unveiled in Europe soon...
    Here's a spy photo.

The current Freelander soft-roader was Land Rover's answer to the 1st gen Rav4 and 1st gen CR-V...
Now its just one outdated and overpriced SUV. Its not worth it anymore, with its crazy price tag the much more affordable Ford Escape and new 3rd gen Rav4 will just embarrass the hell out of it.

    Don't want any common/Japanese SUV, how about a Volvo XC70 2.5T(est P3.3M)?

By the way, imperialv, whats their budget/Price limit for a new SUV?

The Freelander isn't a bad choice really... though against other competitors (in its price range) it is quite old already.

For that kind of money (P3.2M), I'd seriously look at other options... like the just mentioned Volvo XC70 or the XC90 (though they have to stretch their budget to P3.9M). The BMW X3 is also a nice choice... their 2.0d (diesel) base variant retails for around P3.2M.

i think they will be getting the freelander with a price tag of 2.8M... yung diesel variant... yan nga ang problema mukhang mahirap ang service at mahal ang freelander.

if they can stretch their budget to P3.3M, the much newer BMW X3 2.0d....

and the Volvo XC70 2.5T would be good alternatives

yep.. convincing my dad not to buy the freelander... hmmm.. let see kung ano ang bibilhin nya... For me, prado is a practical choice for that price range.

Pajero diesel... great ride, strong brakes, good acceleration.

IMHO, not worth it talaga, you're paying so much for a compact SUV with the Freelander, with the price premium merely due to Land Rover's go-anywhere reputation... though the Freelander isn't as good off-road as more focused SUVs, by the way, since it is a soft roader. If your dad wants a Land Rover to go roughing it, he ought to get the antiquated Defender.

In terms of refinement and on-road manners, it's light years behind the "cheap" Japanese by this time, too.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

hmmm kakaiba ba para di takaw carnap??

yung Sangyong Musso....yung nakakatakot ang hitsura na SUV....malamang eh walang magbalak mang-carnap nyan.....bihira akong makakita nyan sa kalsada....

last easter, me nakita ako...nasa likuran ko at nakita ko sa rearview mirror...nakakagulat talaga....pinalagpas ko na lang.... takoooot aku........herehrehrehrehrher

or magpacustom made na lang kayo ng Hammer kay Jappy...buy a big V8 engine, slap it into the Hammer body and ask them to bullet proof and bomb resistant ang under carriage....malamang eh me sukli ka pa...at sa laki non eh malamang walang mang-carnap non kasi mahirap isingit sa traffic sa manila...so madaling mahahabol....herherherherher

hmmm if I have around 3M budget for a different not so common ride.... my mind can think a lot of things.....wicked things.....herherherherher

Kung walang interes sa sasakyan ang parents mo, huwag na sila mag LR. Its an acquired taste. Not for everyone. Dami nang nagsisi for buying LR's. Though enthusiasts are usually happy with them despite their issues.

Volvo's and Bimmers are also not very common and not many are stolen. Even the new Pajero is not as hot with thieves as the former generation was.
