    Hi mga ka-tsikots,

I'm planning to buy my 1st ever car. Would like to ask your opinion. Below are all the considerations I'm currently thinking:

    1. Budget: upto 800k (can stretch upto 860k)
    2. I'm only 5'2 so I'm looking for a car na comfortable para sa height ko. I've tried Honda City before but seems huge for me or I guess indi lang aq nasanay kc ilang beses ko lang nman naidrive.
    3. AT transmission - most of the time is gagamitin sya for city driving. It'll be used to go to office but also for my business to pickup stocks sa lotto outlet ko like 4 boxes of lotto tickets. Box is like the size of PS4.
    4. Aircon - I have hyperhidrosis so madali aq pagpawisan. Not a huge deal kc natry ko nman na ang aircon ng toyota, nissan, mitsu at honda, etc and ok nman sila for me. Except Kia na parang mahina ang aircon (based sa reviews/feedback na nabasa ko)
    5. Toys - toys that could be helpful in my driving like rear cam, additional safety features, etc.
    6. Looks - not a huge deal but ofcourse I want to impress my girl.

Below is yung mga pinagpipilian ko. Feel free na dagdagan pa ang options and why.

    A. 2019 Honda Brio HB
    B. Suzuki Dzire
    C. Honda City E CVT
    D. Kia Soluto
    E. Mitsubishi Mirage HB
    F. Kia Picanto

All can be top of the line except Honda City.

    Thank you.

Within that budget, a good bud was able to grab a TOTL Mazda2 with very low miles. Technical Details made it better than new.

brio m/t is less than 600k. pretty good price. save the money for other business ventures then buy a better car later on

what i don't like about the city is that it doesn't have folding rear seats, which severely limits its ability to swallow your longer stuff. on top of that the typical sedan trunk lid has a very small opening.

in all my driving years of over 2 decades, i vaguely recall, only once did i have to swing the rear seat of my non-honda down, because i had something long to ferry.

How about 2nd hand vehicles sir? Any recommendation po between these two? kasi dalawa lang po ang choice ko so far 1st is a 2009-2012 model Honda City and 2014 up na Mirage G4. Our current budget is 300k-350k.
    Thank you so much

Thank you so much po sa reply sir, Ok lang po ba kahit decade old City siya? I mean compared to a 3-5 year old Mirage? though I know na 3 cylinder engine lang si G4 at Mas malaki dihamak si City. Btw I will be using it 3 to 4 times a week siguro including weekends at most of the time 2 or 3 lang ang sakay including me. Occasional long trips din loaded with 5 persons.

It all boils down to the love & care the previous owner had for a used one. A young abused & battered can't be any better than a healthy old. Age is just a number.....& you're not comparing apples to apples here. The Mirage isn't in the City's class, sir.[emoji4]

I'm itching to say... All other things equal, choose the one with the lesser mileage... BUT odometers can be hacked.

I think it's better for you to make your own thread. I just saw your same post on the other thread. Just out of respect to the OPs.

    E. Mitsubishi Mirage HB
    F. Kia Picanto

    A. 2019 Honda Brio HB : Maintenance cost is expensive, be ready for this
    B. Suzuki Dzire : Maintenance cost is expensive and spare parts availability is a pain
    C. Honda City E CVT : CVT Transmission is a different animal, unreliable and expensive
    D. Kia Soluto : I will never buy a Kia again, 3 of 7 Kia's I owned, engine knocked (1 even knocked 2x). 2 of 7 I owned, A/T tranny broke Down in less than 3 yrs.
    E. Mitsubishi Mirage HB : Rides like an owner Jeep, a/c not that good, CVT problems (shift solenoids). Very fuel efficient, parts aplenty and relatively cheap (I had 2 Grab cars HB, 3 G4 Grab car)
    F. Kia Picanto : I had 4 of these. I will never buy a Kia again, 3 of 7 Kia's I owned, engine knocked (1 even knocked 2x). 2 of 7 I owned, A/T tranny broke Down in less than 3 yrs.

I always recommend... Buy a car based on what you value most, based on what is important to you. You can't have it all.

Congratulations in advance on your new car.

So what would you recommend sir? Other options are very much welcome. What specific car would you recommend based on the considerations I listed?
