    need your advices po. salamat!

If you want one that gets the job done with no fuss then the Hilux is a good choice (bare bones 4x4). The rear bed is a bit small though i think.

The Pathfinder can take a lot of abuse but the engine is lethargic and not as preppy as the torque and gearing of the almost similar displacement Hilux.

The Strada has the most comfort features and performance amongst the 3 choices... and parts are also widely available.

You'd really expect most of them to be beat-up as pick-ups are really workhorses and those in your choices are already relatively old. One option is to get one as cheap as possible with good papers and fix it up with a budget of around 50K to 100K.

    yup 4x2 lang yun...

sa hilux, try to get an older model so it would fit your budget...I suggest you get the hilux na solid front axle pa and not the IFS...usually less than 200k yun.

teka saan mo ba gagamitin? kung recreation offroading...why not get a sammy (suzuki samurai) pickup instead...

when you're referring to strada 94-96, i presume yun 1st gen box type version ang gusto mo. well, ito lang masasabi ko para ka na din naka pajero minus the SUV looks. mitsu diesel + 4x4 elevated, the best combo talaga. i have the 2nd gen pero wala naman ata gano difference from the 1st gen except for the boxy (1st gen) vs. curves (2nd gen) and the intercooler turbo. or mayrun din ata strada 1st gen na intercooler. very reliable and very durable. napakatigas ng pang-ilalim, pang matagalan.

and the best thing, ito ang mitsu diesel model na hindi sinu-surplus sa Subic kaya you need not to worry kung bibili ka ng 2nd hand.

full tank of my strada (average of 55 liters of diesel) can last 500 to 550 km city driving with normal day to day traffic.

eto mga prospect ko for this week. help naman sa price range ng mga pickup wala may kabisado kasi sa family and friends ko. medyo mahal kasi tingin ko...

1995 hilux last price is P350k loaded at maayos daw. mileage nasa 80K.

I dunno if its just me but parang nakakaduda yung mga mileage minsan. I had a 2000 Frontier which wasnt used much (relatively as most pick-ups i know of are pretty much used) and it still garnered 67000kms in nearly 6 years.

A Strada 4x4 will go below 300k for a well-used unit to around 350K for the good condition ones (which are pretty rare). The bonus here as the others mentioned is the parts are very much available.

Try to get a unit from an actual owner.

Overhaul: the normal check up.

Timing belt: I wouldnt gamble. Kung 4d56 lang yan then have it replaced including water pump, tensioner and oil seals. Rule of thumb sa diesel engines, 100k palit tbelt.

newbie in 4x4 pickups and also looking for one too!
