My suggestion? Consider the Suzuki SX4 or the Hyundai i10 instead ma'am. Merong AT variants, and mura rin.

My recommendations:
1...NO to second hand cars.
2...Suzuki Celerio...(529,000 pesos brand new) excellent safety features, soft suspensions, small, and fuel efficient.
3...Suzuki Alto...to save money (this car cost only 408,000 pesos brand new), plus you just need the car to travel short distances on Manila's congested streets to and from work with probably occasional long travels. Easy to find a small parking space.
4...Hyundai Getz...(498,000 brand new). This is a good deal, specially now that they offer huge discounts. But...air con is weak, suspension is stiff so you feel every bump on the road, and a lot has been complaining about "kalampag" here and there.
5...Hyundai i10...(around 478,000 brand new). Excellent car, but NOT fuel efficient. This car is a gas guzzler.
6...Kia Picanto...Good car, but over-priced for the features it offers.
7...Toyota Vios...Again an excellent car, but the aircon "STINKS AS HELL" after heavy rains. Imagine the smell of mild lingering Cervical Cancer. I had asked numerous taxi driver's...same complaint, specially now that it had not stopped raining for a week.

The zuk SX4 is too overpriced. If rarity is what you want, then, get this. But if a normal car could suit your needs, a city, alto etc would do.

get a Hyundai Getz or Suzuki Celerio. Both have M/T variants.
Sorry OT: Bakit nga ba ang dami kong naririnig sa kalampag-here kalampag-there ng Getz hehehe? Never pa akong nakasakay kasi sa Getz.
Suzuki Celerio, I like it's smooth shifting hehehe. Celerio is also famous sa Euro countries by the way.

^^ Because alto is a go-everywhere car and a go-into narrow spaces vehicle :hysterical: Seriously, it would be perfect for ma'am for her not to spend much as she had plans in leaving the country.
Celerio looks nice in white IMO

Baka nga lang ayaw ni mam ng hatchback, so kung ayaw niya, take out i10, Getz, Celerio and i10.
Kia Rio and Honda City?

If you're choosing the SWIFT, I would rather suggest the HONDA CITY or JAZZ 1.3 M/T. Better interior, more space. I find the Swift to be too cramped inside. Even the cargo area is too small.
Add to that, the hellhole of a casa some Suzuki "casa" shops. Like the one at Shaw Bvld.
