Need help guys for second hand car (FD?)

hmmm. i honestly think an altis will give you less headaches. would you consider getting an older fd (2007-2008) with resolved issues (meaning repaired na lahat) or a younger one (2010 up) na hindi pa lumalabas? our family still currently owns a 2007 FD and the issues started to come out on the car's 5th year.

eto yung mga naging problem (from 4th-7th year of ownership):

1.) engine support (naka 4 na palit total)
2.) replaced rear wheel bearing
3.) PS Leak
4.) water pump (replaced)
5.) magnetic clutch ng A/c compressor
6.) belt & belt tensioner

so far around 80k mileage ng car. i wouldn't say these are really big issues but surprising kasi relatively di naman siya ganun ka abused and luma.

Honestly I have no idea sir whether 2007 or 2010 up, and 450k lang budget regarding engine support ilang beses po kayo nag palit sa isang taon? Original po or replacement? Sa magnetic clutch yun din ang alam ko kasi sabi ng suki kong aircon shop un daw talaga madalas masira sa honda kasi ang bilis mag automatic hence madalas mag engage/disengage ng clutch.

kung 450, i think makakuha ka na ng 2010 especially since patapos na yung taon. pag nag antay ka til january, baka mas may leverage ka pa tumawad kasi 2015 na (you can argue na parang 1 year older na yung kotse kahit na one month difference lang from today).

regarding engine support, di ko rin masabi kung ilang beses per year. basta parang labas 2x nagpalit under warranty (replaced for free), 2x paid na (so on the car's 4th year of ownership). siguro nga try to look for the newest one with the least mileage (had an officemate who recently sold her 2010 FD for 470k, mga around 38k mileage lang). at least alam mo na yung mga potentially aayusin later on kesa older na di pa alam yung sakit na pwedeng lumabas.

tip: pag titingin ka, try mo 1st thing in the morning. yung isang sign na sira yung engine support ay maugong siya when you first start the car. i think kasi mas nagiging evident yung engine vibrations pagka sira na yung support.

Is you're FD equipped with ABS and airbags? No issues associated with them?

No issues with the drive-by-wire throttle?

*TS: You can't go wrong with the FD. Mine's running for 6 years already and once lang nagpalit ng engine support (actually pinapalitan ko na bago ma-expire ang warranty) fuel consumption: 8-10klm/ltr (city driving). 1.8S manual nga pala yung akin.
