Mukhang may napupusuang sasakyan ka na. Kung gusto mo ang FD, yun na kunin mo. Kesa naman bumili ka ng iba at manghinayang everytime makakita ka ng FD.![]()
The FD 1.8S is a very decent car. You get good performance and tuning potential as well as acceptable fuel consumption.
How much is the budget?

Thank you sir, yup gusto ko talaga FD pero open ako sa mga suggestion and at the same time may mga nabasa akong common issues raw ng FD like engine support, power steering, etc. kaya nag dadalawang isip ako kung worth ba yung FD in terms of reliability/hassle free. Avg. price na nakita ko for FD is 450k, tama lang po ba ung price?
FD is a good choice. This is the car that i "wanted" when I was looking for a replacement sa ride namin. But I have to get something that I "needed", hence ended up with an Innova. No regrets hehehe![]()
First you have to realized you're getting a second hand car 5 year old car to be exact, expect do some repairs here and there. Allocate money for that purpose.
Oks na yan 450k as a budget for a Civic FD. You can even get the 2006-2008 models for around 350k. If you can get something much newer for 400k, you can use the 50k for repairs, fluid changes, and simple mods.
Common issue ata ng Honda cars yung leaking hydraulic PS systems, not to mention that Honda uses their own specific PS fluid. My old 6th gen is suffering from a PS leak and so with an officemate who has a Civic ES.
PS pump repair will be just around 500 (labor cost only) and can easily be done in a few hours. Repair of the steering rack assembly will be around 2k and needs 2 days to bring it down, take it apart and re-assemble, then put it back, plus realigning the suspension arms.
Thank you sa mga inputs nyo mga sir, scout nalang ako ng fresh na FD. Actually Civic FD or Jazz GE pinagpipilian ko, create nalang siguro ako ng new thread.
Some inputs here in Tsikot indicate city driving FC of about 8-9 km/L for the Civic FD 1.8L and my officemates who have them also say the same. That's good enough for car with such an engine size and performance.
Between the Civic FD and the Jazz GE, I'd still pick the Civic. Though when picking between a City GE or Jazz GE, I'd go with the Jazz GE.
To TS
are you considering the 2.0 m/t
or a/t talaga
parang ang sarap idrive nyan
madami naman alagang FD
hanap ka nalang ng stock
hmmm. i honestly think an altis will give you less headaches. would you consider getting an older fd (2007-2008) with resolved issues (meaning repaired na lahat) or a younger one (2010 up) na hindi pa lumalabas? our family still currently owns a 2007 FD and the issues started to come out on the car's 5th year.
eto yung mga naging problem (from 4th-7th year of ownership):
1.) engine support (naka 4 na palit total)
2.) replaced rear wheel bearing
3.) PS Leak
4.) water pump (replaced)
5.) magnetic clutch ng A/c compressor
6.) belt & belt tensioner
so far around 80k mileage ng car. i wouldn't say these are really big issues but surprising kasi relatively di naman siya ganun ka abused and luma.
