just an update
I've bought a 2014 Ford Focus M/T and I'm quite happy with my purchase. Just a question though,
ok lang ba siya i keep for a long time (around 10 years). Hindi ba siya ganun kamahal i maintain as copared to the Civic FB?
TIA
If you have a reliable source of spare parts near you and know a mechanic who is familiar with the car, then it can be a keeper. Ford's are typically solid and well built keepers. Just don't expect a good resale value come selling time.

Thanks for the peace of mind sir. I don't really mind the resale value since I'll be using it for a long time and I'm quite happy with how it drives. For me, its better than the FD I've test drive in terms of handling and it feels more solid and stable at speeds more than 100kph.
The biggest problem with the Focus was its dual-clutch transmission, which easily overheats in metro manila traffic. Since you got yourself a manual, that should be much less of a headache.
Basic consumables like oil filters should be easy to source. But once the big ticket items start conking out (alternator, evaporator, suspension, etc) - that's where it gets difficult and expensive.
Auto shops don't usually carry parts for low-volume cars like the Focus. So anything you need will usually be on a by-order basis. And since there's not much demand for Focus parts because there are few Focus owners, prices tend to be higher since fewer shops have Ford parts. Your best bet will be Fordland and Mazford in Banawe, but last time I checked most of their parts were for 2000s Fords/Mazdas like the Focus and Mazda 3.
Since the Civic FB sold in greater numbers than the Focus, parts should be easier to source for that car. But you already bought the Focus anyway so no looking back. The Focus is a great handling car and it really does feel very solid and stable at high speeds.

Good buy po ba ang honda city e 1.3 manual 2013 model 120k mileage sa presyong 350k?
Kilala ko kasi yung owner ng city. Tapos casa maintain siya. Overpriced po ba?
Or much better kung civic fd nalang within the price range...
Maraming salamat po sa tulong nyo.
Iniisip ko po kasi baka makakuha ng civic na may problema. Wala pa naman ako kilalang mekaniko.
Anu pa po ibang masusugest nyo sa 350k budget.
Maraming salamat po.
get a used MT, if it is ok with you, sir. it is cheaper than AT, and promises less headaches on the transmission.
...the usual altis.. a city or a civic.. a diesel innova, if you can stretch your budget a little..
the second most crucial factor in buying used, is the care the previous owner lavished on the car.
i'd pay premium, if i were confident that the owner maintained the car well... close relatives.. officemates.. filthy rich owners who are getting rid of the old car because they need garage space for the new car..
and... don't rush, sir.
the next car might be even better than the one that got away.
