We're you able to check and see the original OR and CR or just a photocopy? Kung photocopy lang pinapakita nila sayo and to follow na lang daw ang orig... Mahirap yan sir.

They showed me original OR/CR po plus yung TPL insurance. They just renewed the car registration last 06/18/2018. I took photo of them.

    maintenance records?

when was the last ac-oil change done? mahal compressor.
napalitan na starter? battery changed? age of tires - nasa sidewall. look at the throttle body kung malinis. pcv napalitan? spark plugs? ignition coils? spare tire. water pump napalitan? thermostat napalitan? coolant is water lng or premix?

test drive, note how car response to humps. how fast the ac cools. brake pedal feel.

Another question pala guys. If civic 1.8s fd 2008 yung bibilhin ko, how would it be compared sa crv 1st/2nd gen if considering the fc.

That 2nd gen "ten-cheater" CRV is not that fuel efficient. A former colleague used to drive a 2.0L AT version of that "ten cheater" and he was only getting 5 km/L on metro manila traffic.

I guess it has to do with how Honda declared the category of that model of the CRV. It was placed in the category of an AUV instead of a CUV.

The ten cheater AT was notoriously bad. But the MT seems to be significantly better. Worth consideration?

Not much difference in terms of fuel consumption between AT and MT models. The K20 engine offers decent power for a 2.0L NA engine but it is not known for fuel efficiency. Accords, Civics, and CRVs powered by the K20 had a reputation for being not that thrift on gas.

i am not attracted to matte finish, and some spoilers (yung matataas) remind me of pushcarts. i prefer all stock. but that's just me.
other than that, and assuming both are in good condition, i prefer the civic. i find it more comfortable.

just make sure the documents are in order, especially that second owner.
i would be curious, why they are for sale.

    errr... magkano sila?

Actually mataas spoiler nung civic hahaha. Both reason nila is maguupgrade "daw" . 310k both binibigay nila. May cash na kasi ako and gusto ko na talagang bumili. Required pa ba sir na ipa-LTO yung OR CR or DOS lang then pa notaryo lang ok na?

    notarized deed of sale.
plus, chpg (old name!) clearance. yung macro-etching, to insure "no negative history of the car".
and original CR. xerox copy only adds extra legwork kasi. not impossible, just more legwork.

if 2nd owner still hasn't transfered ownership to his name, make sure all documents of sale from 1st owner to 2nd owner, are in order and are original. check the IDs. they should be up to date (daw). hihingin po ng lto yan.

marami po diyan na hindi pa na-transfer ang ownership sa kanilang pangalan. if documents are complete, it shouldn't be a problem. but i have a negative point to those who do not transfer ownership..
