Hi mga katsikot,
Plan ko na bumili ng kotse sa December 26-28.
Mejo naguguluhan pa ako kung ano dapat kong kunin.
gusto ko sana ay
1. great FC
2. cheap maintenance
3. pogi na din

budget ko ay 300k.
napili ko na ay city type z , honda city GD at 1.5 gen vios.
Should i settle nalang ba sa mas murang type z(200k)? or go for GD na maganda interior(ymmv) or sa Vios na mura ang mga parts?
gusto ko sana is ung panatag ang loob ko at hindi ako bibigyan ng sakit ng ulo.
Mas mahal ba imaintain ang Honda city GD compared sa Vios?if yes by how much po?
tapos baka kasi pag nag type z ako eh since 12 -13 y/o car eh palagi may masira.

the Vios is 1.5, the Altis is 1.6, imho, the FC for both eh hindi nagkakalayo. and again, imho, the 2001-2003 Altis 1.6 consumes around 10-11 kpl, compared to 12 kpl for the 1.5 Vios.

plus you get bigger space.

the sentra gsk, while its a good car (in my standards), is not as fuel efficient compared to the altis or vios due to the fact that it's quite heavy.
however, great airconditioning system.....

Sa 3 choices, Honda City Type-Z VTi even just for the engine alone. At mas maganda pa siya sa GD City IMHO. Hindi naman sirain ang early 2000s na kotse, nasa alaga lang yan. Just get the best unit you can find, maluwag yang 300k for this car.

Kuha ka ng City Type-Z 1.5VTi. Its got the renowned D15B VTEC engine under the hood. Very fast and fuel efficient especially considering the sub-1000kg weight of this car. Still got much more performance potential too, especially considering that this was an especially detuned engine. Yung sumunod na GD City, though very functional and fuel efficient, napakapangit tingnan eh. Get the newer ones, mga 2002, 2003 para mas kaunting headaches.

Mas mahal ang maintenance ng City sa Vios, lalo na ang iDSI dahil dun sa 8 spark plugs niya (other cars have only 4). Stay away from CVT variants as these have reliability issues. Honda parts are also generally more expensive than Toyota parts.

Well, if both owners had it casa maintained edi merong records. Be careful with open deed of sale at baka magkaproblema sa papeles. Yung Revo at Accord V6 namin naka open but it was done out of goodwill by the previous owners para hindi magmumukhang maraming naraanan kapag binenta which means higher resale value at meron kaming copy ng valid ID nila.

You can go and look at the car and check on the records what CASA it was serviced at. Then you discreetly check with the CASA to verify the mileage; I've done this before when we bought an Innova J (records came out matched). 50K for a 2002 model means 5,000kms per year which is quite low. Pag open deed of sale, chances are buy and sell yung nagbebenta.

Low mileage doesn't always equate to good buy if i may add.

tinanong ko kasi kung kaya 280 sabi 290k daw last price. pag search ko naman ng mga 2006 altis. nasa 300-400 pa ung price. hindi kaya may sabit ung sasakyan or sindikato ? ayaw makipagmeet up sa malls, gusto lang sa lugar nila sa sucat.

So far ang danger kapag open deed di ba is baka carnap or hindi pa natapos bayadan ng original owner. Tama po ba?

Di naman. Yung Escape namin dati at Tribute ngayon parehong drums sa likod pero malakas kumagat ang preno. Yun nga lang may ABS yun.

Yung Revo namin drums sa likod. Medyo mahina ang brakes, dahil narin walang ABS. Was in an accident wherein I rear-ended a jeepney due to inadequate brakes. Ang saving grace lang nito in emergency braking situations would be the heavy engine braking of the diesel engine.

Nasa kotse kasi yun. Some cars with disc/disc brakes have poor braking still. But then if you compare the higher Altis variants with disc/disc brakes and ABS with this one, syempre mas mahina ang preno niya.

Oh and I think I saw the unit you were referring to already. Yung facelifted version na pala siya, kaya may driver side airbag.

negative RPM, delay ung hatak niya, sobra tigas ng clutch. ung exterior ung mga door handle and other na plastic eh sobrang dumi parang binaha. inayawan na namin ito.
Pero ung honda city 2000 nagandahan kami kasi well maintained ito pero sabi ng tito ko may kinig daw sa kotse kapag sa kulang sa gas ung 1st gear(nasa working level ang clutch). tama po ba ito? if yes ano po problem and magkano ipafix ito? 90% na kasi na gusto ko kunin ung city sa friday/ saturday. kung major problem ito gusto ko sana ipabawas sa price. TIA!

Are you sure you do not want to look further? NEVER RUSH when you are buying a car, especially a 2nd hand car.

What kind of sound are you talking about? Its hard to diagnose without hearing it. For all I know it can be just the typical sounds from the valve tappets that you can hear from a cold engine. And then again... 2000 pa yung City. A newer unit would be nice.
