MG even though is owned by SAIC still uses British engineering and technology...no need for stereotyping ..It just has the backing of the chinese production power house..global brands requires global strategic partners..Morris Garages is still in the "A" list.

test drive it and see if it suits your fancy..MG is true value for money right now..

A proud MG owner here..perhaps you should too.. imho

Jag & Rover are Tata-owned...for now. And they're currently doing better than when those marques were under Ford. Volvo by Geely. The next gen MINI E will be by Great Wall....
Don't be surprised by China, it'll soon own everything.[emoji13]
Now, is MG any good? Sched some drive time & hear out the owners.[emoji4]

your backed by chinese production is 100% inaccurate.

mg owner here. - i bought caused it got me the first time.

first: you're talking about volvo, owned and backed by geely a chinese corp. here geely gave volvo a free hand in everything even kept their factories in europe and design/research bureau, hence volvo has a say in (Sweden) things. same with tata - land rover.

second: mg is different, its the chinese that does everything with parts form vw and atkinson engine. they just maintained an office in the u.k. with less than 17 people, just foe the sake of saying they still have the british heritage.

third: dont get me wrong mg is a good car, thing is your misconception should be consigned into the garbage bin. its not a mini cooper, love the car even if its made in china, dont even get the idea that the brits have a say in the design, for they dont.

fyi the atkinson engine is the engine of the new toyota accord totl hybrid so dont make a mistake about mentioning the british engineering, it's more of a saic learned how to make vw and applied it with mg.

one reason i bough it, pag sumakay ka sa vw at zs ay parang iisa lang sila, except pag lumabas ka na yun lang ang difference, same with the touareg with the rx5.

london eye drl - is a que enhanced from mazda and thye just labeled it london eye tada

ang porblema lang sa mga chinese cars na to, it looks like a bottlegged mazda suv, cx3, cx5, cx9 take your pick

Anf also design-wise, the fluidic curvy design is out. So makaluma na to. Even the hyundais and kias are having edges na with their new designs

Almost all top designs today. Are going rounded boxy, like the new LR Defender, Bronco, telluride, Palisade, santa Fe, patrol, jimny etc etc. even the new Dmax is boxy tough looking

Mag mumuka lang lame duckling to 2-3 years from now, physical appearance wise.

yes very true, in fact old models na pinadala nila dito, meron na silang bago. pero granted naman yun, 5 year old lang talaga eh mag mumukha ng luma ang design, bibihira na ang auto na timelessness ang dating.

I think the boxy LCs are timeless design. As well as the Jeep Wrangler. Even the boxy expeds,

Ano kasi , boxy suggest power and toughness on the roads. Fluidic parang pang millenial, pambata but sooner or later youre gonna grow on it , coz life is not about hanging out with coffee shops and tinkering android new features, life is tough. And with it , bumili ka na ng timeless tough looking vehicle like the new Jimny.

No matter how metro***ual or health conscious, efficient you are, somebody is bound to screw you over, coz people are just plain crab .

Eh these new Chinese cars, it s good looking yes its aerodynamic but it looks too soft, parsng di makapatay langgam
