let's say i can sell my 2010 civic 1.8 V. at magpapadagdag ako ng extra cash. ano po mas maganda sa dalawa ? college student po ako and i want a car na something unique sa daan. ewan ko ba bigla akong nanawa sa FD ko. any inputs on FC? maintenance cost? the mazda 6 costs about 1.680M and the genesis coupe GLS 1.654M.

I would like to throw in the Lancer EX GTA into the options. Why? I think this car would suit the TS' preference in a car. For one, the car looks as if it's going fast even if it's just parked. Another, its still a relatively rare car to see on the road. Given that this car goes fast and handles well straight from the car dealer is a bonus.

With a budget of P1.6M, that gives the TS more than P400,000 left over to modify the Lancer which way he wants. Typical performance tuning, N/A mods (suspension & engine) would cost under P100,000. Going turbo, that would be just under P200,000 * SPEEDLAB for the entire turbo-kit.

The current Mazda6 will be around for another couple of years. You will see the new Mazda3 before the new 6.

Just like Niky, I have also driven the 6 but that car just didn't leave a lasting impression on me. I would rather prefer to get a Subaru Legacy GT sedan than the Mazda6. Rides & drives better. Of course, its also more expensive at P2M. The cheaper alternative is the Subaru Impreza 2.0R (sedan) at P1.2M.

But for 2.1M, I'd choose the local Sonata Premium. The 600K price difference is not worth it IMHO.

Pwede naman i-tune yung 2.4L Theta II MPi eh. Madali lang naman palitan yung HU at lagyan ng rear camera. Hindi ka pa gagastos ng 600K para dun.

Kidding aside, 2.1M is too much for a Korean sedan. Kaya tignan mo, hindi binibili yung Genesis, 3M+ ba naman.
