A/T's are really much less demanding to drive, especially if it entails long hours of city driving. But then, the difference in fuel consumption is a big factor. Parts availability depends on how successful that particular model is in our market, or whether that part is used in many other models. And in the Camry's case, not so much. If you're getting that, I'd suggest a Cefiro or Accord instead.
Marami naman akong nakikita sa mga sites na Altis ah. Many of them still look fresh. Most of the prices posted there are still negotiable, some of them by a very large margin. The Altis is relatively reliable, sludging issues aside (resolved by changing oil every 5tkms). Mechanics are familiar with it, parts are readily available, and its got excellent fuel efficiency.
Depende naman sayo. Whichever makes you happy is the most important. You can buy a Sentra GSX that is much newer than the Altis, though the Altis has better reputation and probably also better fuel efficiency. Since the Sentra is also widely used for cab service, mostly with the airport cab group, parts are also readily available. Personally, I'd go with the newer car, basta hindi laspag.
