after the return of the retro 'N' series plates mid of 2009.
now comes the succession of letter 'P' plates.
PFI***, PBI*** and the likes etc.

'N' was the plate number in the early-mid 80s as i remember as the letter 'P' succeeded it in the late 80s to early 90s.

Malamang ang sunod sa 'P' ay letter 'T' then 'U' and so on.

Yeah pero different naman yung plates kasi yung luma kulay GREEN or WHITE lang with "PILIPINAS" under it pero ngayon may Rizal Monument na...

From the looks of it, P*O or P*Q na magiging plaka ng bibilhin namin.

Sana lang PKO para piko, or PRO para awesome. Di ko na sasabihin yung dalawang gusto kong middle letter kung Q yung last letter.

mid 70's to late 70's used N, the early 80's up to sometime very early 90's used P, the early 90's used T overlapping with the P at times...then followed by the U's, W's, X's, Z's, then the N again...and so on...

Got my plate last Friday and it was still N.

I remember in the mid 80s, there was a massive change of all plates. My dad's car plate number were 204 3Q, then when he registered it (forgot the exact year), new plate numbers were issues as NKT-xxx.

Kinda nostalgic that I also got N.

it's just a matter of time before it gets up to z again

dapat gawin regional ang issuance of plates. for example, assign iligan as one regional name wherein all the cars in that torritory will bear "iligan" on the plates (parang state name sa usa). . .of course, in that region, hindi lang sa iligan pwedeng magparehistro, pwede rin sa ozamis, marawi, etc

here in the metro where vehicle number is densest, assign several cities to be used as registration centers

this will surely make the next plate numbering system last a lot longer. . .ngayon kasi, yung code for the place of registration e kasama na sa number, sayang ang 1 alphabet

japan is also using this system. . .actually in japan, even the engine displacement of the vehicle is represented by a digit/character on the plate

So I guess it's now P*I-*** then PI*-***. Nung sa N kasi ginawa nilang N*I-*** then N*O-*** then N*Q-*** before NI*-***.

Sana umabot yung car namin sa PI*-***. Napansin ko lang na SUPER BILIS nung P*I-*** naubos, like two weeks pa lang since may nakita akong PBI-*** may PID-*** na pala.

*oliver1013, yup... im starting to feel old na rin with the quick change of letters, now LTO is resorting to use the "forbidden letters"...
