after the return of the retro 'N' series plates mid of 2009.
now comes the succession of letter 'P' plates.
PFI***, PBI*** and the likes etc.

'N' was the plate number in the early-mid 80s as i remember as the letter 'P' succeeded it in the late 80s to early 90s.

Malamang ang sunod sa 'P' ay letter 'T' then 'U' and so on.

Magaabot na ng plates ang mga small body corollas (there are still a lot on the road) saka mga new cars na naka P plates.

Yeah pero different naman yung plates kasi yung luma kulay GREEN or WHITE lang with "PILIPINAS" under it pero ngayon may Rizal Monument na...

AFAIK, they're just using up the unused combos from before so there's no danger in overlapping.

I like those registered/sold up in Baguio though. They used the A plates with the white background until recently.

I have a car that I haven't registered for 2 years, so there's a chance that my plates will be given to a new car?

From the looks of it, P*O or P*Q na magiging plaka ng bibilhin namin.

Sana lang PKO para piko, or PRO para awesome. Di ko na sasabihin yung dalawang gusto kong middle letter kung Q yung last letter.

No, you'll just have to pay a fine for the "delinquency".

mid 70's to late 70's used N, the early 80's up to sometime very early 90's used P, the early 90's used T overlapping with the P at times...then followed by the U's, W's, X's, Z's, then the N again...and so on...

Got my plate last Friday and it was still N.

I remember in the mid 80s, there was a massive change of all plates. My dad's car plate number were 204 3Q, then when he registered it (forgot the exact year), new plate numbers were issues as NKT-xxx.

Kinda nostalgic that I also got N.
