Is buying a japan converted van ok? like the nissan serena,
-in terms of maintainance
-availability of parts
would really appreciate your response..TIA

Check carefully the conversion made specially the steering conversion.

December 14th, 2009 02:14 AM #3Just buy a local Serena. Resale value of Serenas are quite low so it's good for the 2nd hand buyers.
Just check it properly and set aside some money for repairs, detailing. You'll have a very nice van. Much better and classier compared to AUVs

kaya nga budget pero wala pa pyesa ang yd22 ng diesel serena... or hyper-cvt ng sr20 serena...
kung ung older model, sakit sa ulo ang 2.0 diesel....lalo na gas...
buy local or kung gusto mo converted talaga go for delica...mas madaming piyesa, madali pang ayusin...

how about po un maintainance and durability, especially ng trnny nya?

makakahanap ka ,pero mostly baka kabagsakan mo ay fabrication...or "pwede-na-yan" fit
kung gusto mo talaga serena go for the local QRV- 5-speed manual model... walang bitin dyan..sulit na din kahit wala na ung luxury features like auto aircon, vcd...madali pa paower-mod nito kasi MT at sr20 makina... at di ganung katakaw ang sa gas kasi MT.
nagbalak na ako noon nya, di ko din pinatulan..
kung di mo afford, a 1997-99 vanette grand coach (last version ng local vanette natin) is a good buy too...
alas, much as we might want to rely on our noses, we may not use our noses to do emissions...
