I own a mitsubishi strada and a toyota fortuner..and I can say, yung dalawang yun na lang pagpilian mo. May isuzu hi lander ako dati at yung company service namin eh puro ranger at medyo di maganda experience namin sa car brands na mga to. Kaya pinapalitan lahat ng Hi lux. Toyota, subok na yan, mapa after sales, parts, service wala akung naging problema. 1st generation yung fortuner namin and never tumirik yan. Kung performance din lang and comfort over exterior ( medyo nakakasawa na din kasi itsura). I'd say go for the fortuner.
Fortuner 2.) Montero (close second)>>>> 3.) Alterra 4) Everest

You have to look beyond Alterra's appearance to appreciate it. Comment lang palagi sa Alterra is di maganda itsura which is kinda true.
Pero on some other factors:
- Eto and may MT Variant na fully loaded na
- Not boost dependent para lang makahatak ng malakas.
- Wide power band
- Most efficient SUV in its class
- Biggest leg room and biggest space after 3rd row in its class
- I heard discounted to ng 100k (Urban Cruiser X)
- Leaf Spring (same as Eve). Matibay sa kargahan and sa lubak

July 15th, 2014 03:11 PM #8My least favorites in their class but I would prefer the Alterra over the Everest. The Isuzu engine although dated is still pretty reliable. And tons of space and possibly one of the biggest wheelbase in their category. Both models will have a complete model change soon so if you buy it now expect it to look outdated next year. My suggetion try to consider the Trailblazer or Fortuner instead.

The Alterra is, by far, the biggest in the class, with the most room, and it has one of the softest suspensions... giving it a nice, floaty ride. Also, economy rules.
The Everest is an incredibly capable off-roader... if you're getting the 4x4... rugged, waterproof (even the new TDCi can survive flooding), and torquey. But it has a pretty stiff ride.
Make a decision based on what qualities you need.
Also: An Isuzu Hilander is not an Alterra. Far from it. The equivalent of the Hilander nowadays is the Crosswind, which is one of the more dependable cars on the road... with no major repairs expected until 200-300,000 kms.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

if you can wait for the new MU-X yun nalang
sabi sa review ng Australia
better ride quality than trailblazer
quieter
sna nga dalhin dito bagong engine
kung yung current alterra has air suspension kaya kung leaf spring di siya matagtag
ang alam ko classisfied as full size ang alterra
