Diesel. Kung madalas mo gamitin yung sasakyan, mabilis mo lang marecover ang price extra bayad sa unit through fuel savings.

if you do 1000 km/month, at today's fuel prices..
making do with very rough estimates..
    fuel expense difference alone,
it would take you 4 years to cover the 100K price difference.

what about other vehicle maintenance expenses?... that would depend on the argument. as per my experience, "walang nagpapatalo sa argumentong yan".

Get the diesel if you will be always hauling people or loading the car with a lot of stuff. If it is a daily driver with two to three people at most, you don't need the extra torque.

How did you arrive at 4 years doc? From what I've computed it'll take only about 3 years.

    Gas:
    12,000 km per year / 7 km/L x P42/L = 72k/yr

    Diesel:
    12,000 km per year / 9 km/L x P28/L = 37k/yr

Shorter if you travel more km per year or drive a lot on the highway.

Not to mention that the diesel is much more powerful. Also, the Innova's 2.0 is pretty rough for a gas engine, while the 2.8 is very smooth compared to other diesels.

In terms of resale value, you will definitely recoup the extra 100k as diesel Innovas have higher resale values compared to gas-fed units.

No brainer ang gas vs diesel comparison na same unit. Madali lang mabawi ang diesel.

Ang mahirap na comparison pag different car like vios or accent diesel, etc

If the diesel was considered, i would assume the budget might be ok. Go for the diesel.
