On a 150k budget I'd choose the Corolla around 93 to 95 model gli, plenty of parts and easy to maintain.

Corolla.
I have a 1996 Corolla XL (2E engine) , got it new and is still going strong. It gives 10-11 km/L (city) and 12-13 km/L (hiway).

proper maintenance is key

Thank you for the replies pero I did some searching and figured if I will be going for the mazda, I can get a 97 - 98 model but If I will be going for a corolla or lancer I would only get a 95-96 model. Does the year count in terms of reliability?

sir sa parts availability/price and reliability pa lang more than enough na macompensate ng corolla ung 2-3 yrs diff ng model na makukuha mo.

corolla GLi bigbody matibay na mura pa ang piyesa at hindi pahirapan sa paghanap mapa brand new or lalo na sa surplus, sa reselling value naman mataas pa rin

among your choices, i would go for the lancer GLi or GLXi itlog. maganda pormahan, average fuel consumption and it does not have the suspension issues that the next version has (the pizza). fully loaded pa.

my next choice and recommendation is not within your choices. a Nissan Sentra Series 3.

HUH!!! I had a '95 GLXI before, yung suspension ang reason kung bakit binenta ko agad. Pati yung mga Lancer EL na itlog sa work ko binenta rin agad because of suspension issues also.

agree ako dyan pag dating sa suspension kahit pizza pie pa masyadong sirain kahit sa taxi lancer ang karamihan na na eencounter kong nagpapalit kasi kaibigan ko na palaging nagpaparating ng surplus ang mabili sa kanya ay lancer parst especially sa suspension kahit nga daw sa ibang tindahan yan ang mabili

kung hindi ako nagkakamali nabatikos na sa senado at sa kongreso yan dahil bibili ng ang mga taga gobyerno ng kotse at nakabili sila ng mga lancer sa kinalaunan naging sakit ng ulo pag dating sa maintenance.

sa experience ko mas matibay ang corolla kahit sa baragan paano experience ko na yan eh dati akong naka lancer na Glxi na itlog suspension din ang naging problema ko kaya nag palit ako ng corolla na nabili ko naman sa pinsan ko take note AE92 pa yun ni piyesa wala pang pinalitan lahat nasa good condition at isa pa mas matanda pa yun kesa sa itlog ko dati.
