    Hi Guys,

Asking for your recommendation for a buy and forget car. Basically, pag binili mo hindi mo na lagi iisipin na kailangan na mag palit ng parts etc etc. except siguro for the pms.

Not sure if my question makes sense. Salamat guys! :D

Decent parking. Office building or condo. Budget would be under 1m.

toyota would be your best choice. you already know cathy the moderator. she has one of the longest lasting batteries.. the charging system is good(thats one aspect) engine reliabilty is good. the high capacity cvts are good. aside from the earlier semi badbatches of compressors. wala naman complaints.

vios 1.5 or the newer corollla 1.6 for me.

Thanks for the insightful feedback. I am currently driving an altis as well and will replace it soon. The reason I posted this question. Most likely I will be considering another altis if toyota.

    Believe it or not.
Tire pressure and oil change.
Isa pa madalas is busted tail light or may bukol na tire or pudpod na.

I agree. Unang sira ko when I first drove a car is a flat tire.

there's no such thing as a buy-and-forget car.
because the car is manufactured in midgard (earth) and not asgard, one is saddled with must-maintain chores.
but because it is very so plentiful on the streets, the toyota marquee "promises ease of replacement parts sourcing", as well as "easy to find toyota-knowledgeable mechanics".

also, there is the (debate-able) presumption that toyotas are matibay...

anyway, if one doesn't have the inclination to maintain one's car, there's always the driver-mechanic to do it for him.
    all one needs is money.

    Buy and Forget...

    Avanza
    Vios is close 2nd

I tried to think of bare bones Japanese car available sa Market...

Wanted to add the Mirage - kaso cable type clutch nya

I don't think you'll be as brutal as local taxi operators...

So once a year oil change is fine...

ang totoo buy and forget eh pag naging normal na electric car.

    no fuel,

    no oil change,

Good thing is, it's easier to maintain than combustion engines.

I personally believe na walang man-made machine that doesn't require maintenance, as man-made objects are not perfect. It really depends on how complex a machine is to be maintained. Imagine the complexity of maintaining an American car vs maintaining a Japanese car It all really depends on your budget and commitment

He should have said low maintenance car. Also, how can we recommend without him telling his budget? And how often does he change cars?

EVs like the Hyundai Kona electric and Nissan Leaf should fit the bill. Less maintenance but still have to maintain the moving parts and consumables like tires, suspension, steering, wiper blades, etc.
