Hindi ko alam if is modus toh, pero I bought a brand new car and specifically requested an ending na hindi coding pag Friday. Pag bigay ng plate sakin, Friday ang coding. Sinabi ko sa SA ko at lagi ko pinapaalala na wag Friday. Ngayon, kinuha ko yung plate at pina meet sakin ng SA yung taga LTO. Nagbayad ako ₱5000 para palitan niya ng ending yung plate. Nung pumunta ako sa casa, 7 kami may ganitong problem.

what serchief meant was... they'll specifically give you what you don't want so you'll pay up

so it's better not to tell them. 1 out of 5 are pretty poor odds anyway

I guess we were lucky with my dad's dmax this year. We specifically said either monday or friday.

Conduction sticker we got friday, and plate also got friday. Agent didnt ask for any additional fee.

Re plate ending, depends on your agent really or dealer's policy.

When i got my nissan, it was back when they were not that much in terms of volume compared to toyota, honda and mitsu. So selection wise, they didnt have much plate number allocations.

While for my brother's toyota, agent wasnt really active in assisting him and didnt advice options for plate ending and we got specifically what we said we shouldnt get. Other days would be 'fine'.

So, its more in hindsight for my bro now as they just went with what agent told them.

Maybe its a hit or miss. Not telling your preferred number is better than your agent screwing you. 4 out of 5 chances are better than 1 sure shot of being purposely screwed over.

From my experience, I told my agent my exact preferred number without any fees. He said he will try but no assurance. I got my preferred conduction sticker, and even exact ending number on the plate. Maybe just got lucky. I'd rather not say it next time.

Last time I bought a car, pinapili ako ng conduction sticker and I got it. No under the table or kahit parinig.
I'm not too happy about the the plate ending I got, pero ok naman din.

Yung old series na plate (green & white), may nakikita akong plates something like:

UTT (three numbers)
or
TTI (three numbers)

Imagine, UTT or TTI yung first three letters ng plaka mo??? Sheesh.

sa mga kabibili lang ng bagong car, nakakapag-request na ba ulit ng plate ending? last na purchase ko kase, 2017, sabi ng agent bawal na daw talaga kaya ng lumabas yung plate sakto pareho ending sa alternate car ko, an older car. so, i sold that old car and i'm planning on buying an alternate car na brand new. pwede na ba ulit pumili ng ending?

Usually depende sa plate allocation makuha ng dealer yan dati, kapad tamad yung agent makausap mo di kikilos yan kahit may choices ka.

Sa dad ko na kumuha kami dmax early this year, nakiusap kami ng 2 options na coding lang na acceptable sa amin. Nakuha naman namin as we requested.

Sa kuya ko, nagpaassist naman siya sa agent, so pinapresent yung mga registration and plate ng current vehicles para mapakita sa lto bakit hindi workable na ipareho sa other vehicles to justify the request na wag this or that ending. Ito nga lang ay on-process pa so di ko alam.

Magkaibang brand and dealer so iba palakaran din. So depende na din kung anu ba company policy.
