    Hello,

I am planning to buy a brand new car. I'm just wondering what would be the best option for me to get it at an affordable rate . Everytime I searched online via the car's official website (toyota.com.ph, suzuki.com.ph, etc) the prices are reasonable but when I asked for a quote, there is a huge difference of at least 50,000. I asked one of the dealers why it's like that and they told me automatic daw add on ang 50k on top of the original price if from Cebu based since price posted on their official website are Manila price.

any tips on how to get it at Manila price, although Im from Cebu?

Is that really how it works?

Some casa usually indicate this as FOB price (Unit price + freight on board charges) since the buyer will shoulder the shipping fees.

Yes, you can drive it to the nearest roro terminal para maka tipid ka if you will buy from manila... i remember a friend from iligan, he bought his mux in manila and drove it pa uwi sa kanila... yung usual route ng mga bus from mindanao to manila, yun din ang dinaanan nila...

Oo nga. If the roads aren't too bad, it will help with the break process pa.
    Nakakapagod nga lang.

I'd suggest getting comprehensive insurance though.

Ganito rin problem ko last year nung bumili ako ng first car ko. Sa province plus 50k nga talaga. What I did is bought one in Manila, may discount pa 40k then nag roro ako pa province dala ang unit. Hassle lang sa biyahe pero malaki naman matitipid mo. hehe

^ ganyan din gawain ng friend ko from davao. They buy their vehicles here in manila and just drive them to mindanao. Pag dating doon tapos na ang break-in period

Nope. I bought mine in cebu... and claimed warranty sa bohol... kahit hindi the same owner ang dealership, they will process your claims for warranty...

^ wala naman dapat problema yan since interconnected nanaman mga database ng lto. Although the initial registration will have a small transfer fee afaik.

Dito kasi sa manila normally meron naman yan when registering your vehicle in a lto ofc where it wasn't originally registered in

do what you gotta do so you can do what you wanna do

Any reason why Manila & not from your local dealership? Saves you all the documentation. Just haggle. Show em shipping quotes. You'll have to consider the load/unload service they do. Free yourself of those worries. Doing the shipping yourself will expose you to transit risks.
I recall a bud do the reverse....got a good deal from a provincial dealership, Manila delivery. LTO registration came from the said province.
