^^^ah ok...
ipon ka na lang muna siguro ng konti..tiis ka muna ng 1-2 yrs isguro mag commute then para makabili ka ng hinde umuutang, frankly, kung ako hinde ako uutang with interest to buy a second hand car...if you can;t pay it upfront siguro mahihirapan ka rin sa maintenance and other expenses that comes with owning a car...
pero continue browsing here and kahit wala ka pa kotse marami ka matutunang at least when the time comes na bibili ka na ng first car mo, alam mo na kung ano ang dapt maga iwasan....
ipon ka na lang muna...huwag ka magmadali....before you knew it makakbili ka na ng car at babayran mo ng buo and no need to get a loan...

yup agree din ako dito, konti tiis na lang muna sa pag-commute and ipon para makabili ng bagu-bago na car. mahirap na baka lalo ka mapagastos (at sakit ulo) pag minadali mo bumili ng luma na car. tsaka sa tingin ko mas masisisyahan ka eventually pag bumili ka ng 2nd hand car 1-2 years from now na 3-5 yrs old pa lang . i know i did, kasi plano ko lang dati 89 corolla GL lang pero nagtiis ako at ipon until kinaya brand new na oto - mas masaya d b ?

October 20th, 2007 03:45 PM #24*zeus17,
first i admire you for your candor. small piece of advice: be careful posting financial info (like monthly salary). it might be trivial for some pero i honestly believe this info is too personal to be posted sa net.
now, i understand ang dilemma mo: sayang nga naman ang gastos sa taxi. plus, delikado pa taking public transpo at such unholy hours. why don't you try citifinancial? i honestly havent tried borrowing from them pero parang pwede ata sila ng collateral-free loan. ingat lang sa mataas na interest. baka mamaya magkanda-loko-loko ka sa monthly amortization.
also, please budget about 30-40K para sa paayos sa kotse. siguradong may kailangan ka ipaayos sa 2nd hand na bibilhin mo so hindi matatapos ang gastusin mo sa pagbili ng kotse. repair + maintenance ang isa pang sakit sa ulo, plus gas expenses, yearly registration, parking expenses.
consider mo din lumang charade or kia pride. baka maka-tyempo ka ng 50K. that way, may 50K ka pa pampaayos kung 100K ang budget mo. tipid pa sa gas ang charade. check mo ang DCP forum.
good luck.

October 20th, 2007 03:50 PM #25pahabol: another option, go oldschool. how about an old corolla DX or the corolla DX liftback. ang 100K budget mo, malayo-layo na mararating, especially kung strictly transpo lang ang habol mo. check mo sa grupo toyota forum. daming passionate dun about old school corollas.
