HELP: Buying a used Montero 2017 GLS 4x2 AT

Need help mga ka-tsikoteers,

i'm planning to buy a new car for my parents. Budget 1.2M
Nagtest drive kmi ng Xpander cross (kulang sa hatak), Strada gls 2020 (not a comfort ride, lalo na sa 2nd row)

Now im looking for a second hand Montero Gls 4x2 AT (loaded) around 1.2M
may nagustuhan ako sa facebook, mukhang legit namn owner/seller (businessman) and not an agent

problems is may mga issues:
1. Nakuha daw ung car sa planta (pde po ba un?)
2. na-assemble daw ung car 2017, but acquired nila sa planta 2019 (kaya low mileage)
3. Wala pa original plate (registered nmn daw sa LTO, kaso d nya pa nakukuha dahil sa covid)
4. Wala comprehensive insurance (may kakilala daw na pde ipasok sa insurarance once nagkaproblema na)

Pde daw i-test drive, at mag meet up sa business office nila for legitimacy
tanong ko lang boss if good buy? thanks po!

old stock. daming ganyan sa mitsu coz overpriced ang srp. marami(smart buyers) nag hihintay sa 200-300k discounts nila.

2.4 mivec engine with 8spd ba?

yes boss. 8speed AT na. 2017 variant xa, GLS (not premium), pero prang GT kasi upgraded na lahat (headunit, horns, dash and rear cam, mags, headlights and other accesories)

swak na saken sa price and features kasi un din gusto ko iupgrade sa monty if ever bibili ako.
mejo tatakot lng kasi ako bili ng second hand. Previous car kasi namin second hand, pero kakilala nmin ung dati kaya wala issue.

mejo tatakot lng kasi ako bili ng second hand. Previous car kasi namin second hand, pero kakilala nmin kaya wala issue.

go for it. good price for a low mileage montero. mechanically it should still be good. i don't think they overloaded this naman with 1000kg of rice so it should be fine. check mo nalang if the panels are misaligned, "signs of accident or overloading". water spots--signs of flooding.

transmission fluid, brake fluid and diff fluid should still be good.

agree if everything checks out good buy! but it would not hurt na tawaran pa rin maski konti.

your "problem #4" sounds iffy but not necessarily a deal breaker. if you want comprehensive insurance just get a policy na for yourself.

thanks mga boss! try ko icheck for test drive (mejo malayo layo lang kasi)
sana legit nga.. wala kasi ako experience pa na bumili sa ibang tao, kaya mejo nag-aalangan

kung wala pang LTO, pano macheck if walang pending problems?
machechek na din ba ng Highway Patrol group un?

Not actually an answer to your question but just my take, for 1.2m, I'd buy a new unit, for peace of mind. If i really want the Montero, gawan ko na lang paraan yung kulang na pera.

haha sagad na kc boss. ung budget ko kc tlga 1.2M
kaya namn sana dagdagan, pero may isa pang pag-iipunan..ung kasal hahaha
