Hello all,
Me and hubby are planning to buy a car. Parehas naming first time magda-drive. So ngayon, we decided mag sedan na lang muna. Eto yun kinoconsider sana namin:
-tipid sa gas
-city driving, pang office araw araw, medyo malayo ako, rizal to makati pa
- minsan minsang out of town
-space
-exterior, interior
- 15k-18k
-matic para sakin
Eto sana mga napupusuan namin sa ngayon (lancer as first choice)
- lancer ex glx or mx (ang gwapo tignan lalo pag nabihisan )

If you are aiming for a brand new.
Pag sub-compact naman, siguro Jazz, Yaris, or the small Mirage. Any of them, isasama ko na lang ang aking cute na pamangkin para ituro ano type nya.

Sa 120K down and 5 years to pay, parang mahirap hintayin para masabi mong sa yo na yung car. Yung delear or yung bank ang nakinabang sa interest but anyway, that will keep the business moving.
Siguro pwede din kayo mag consider ng used car. Mag-aral lang si mister kung paano pakiramdaman ang kotse and when to bring it for maintenance.

If you're fine with the Mirage, get the Mirage GLS CVT. It's the most basic car that I consider to be respectable. Decent space, very fuel efficient, has a modern interior, has a lot of toys (LCD w/ GPS, push-start, auto climate control) and looks proportional from the outside (unlike the Picanto which has aggressive looks but has the hood height of an Innova, making it look like a squished hamster).
If you pay a 30% downpayment of roughly 200k, nasa 10k nalang yung monthly mo.
If you want the Lancer, then get the Lancer. If you get the GLX AT, you'll spend roughly 180k on a 20% downpayment and roughly 15k per month on a 5-year scheme.

Just some thoughts and experiences:
1. Kung maglo- loan ka, get the shortest term na kaya niyo. Mas makakatipid kayo at saka
2. If you were to consider a 2nd hand car, you'll have to ask yourself this question first:
Dapat ba tayong mag- enjoy muna sa sasakyang ito o kailangang problemahin muna natin?
3. Best bang for the buck talaga ang Mirage.
mo ang Lancer EX, so i'll suggest get the Lancer EX.
I don't want you to feel the same way... Good Luck!

Assuming that you have kids or planning to have soon okay din yung jazz. Get the top of the line one kung gusto nyo ng magandang exterior And a slightly bigger engine. if not the base model will do. The top of the line variant is relatively few (at least to the places i go to) so may pagkaheadturner effect yun lalo na kung yung orange pero kung lancer talaga gusto nyo. Go ahead. I own one and im really happy with it :D i dressed it up already halos 1 week old palang. Lol. Checkout the lancer ex thread.

just seen a 10th gen cross 200,000 miles on reddit. is this a unicorn or has the cvt been proven...
