The Sentra is the newest car you can get for your money, aside from the Lynx. This usually means less headaches to deal with.

The AE101 Corolla (93-97) is also a good choice. You get excellent performance and legendary Toyota reliability. But it's resale value is much higher than the Nissan, and it's not that much better.

Corolla na lang. Medyo matakaw sa gas yung Series 3 dahil mabigat ang kaha. Saka yung MAF sensor ng GAxxx engine, hindi matibay, at mahirap makahanap.

Hi guys! Planning to buy a 2nd hand car. Budget is 500k but not cash, will probably make 20-30% dp then the rest financing. Can you give me an idea on 2nd hand car loan rates, best bank for this, insurance rates? Targeting 2007-2008 Innova. Help please. What variant of Innova could I get with my budget? Thanks!

Get the D4D E for that budget, pero mataas ang interest rate sa 2nd cars ang alam ko.

Depende po kasi sa gamit nyo sir. Kung daily driven talaga sya better get the diesel variant. Kung d naman gaano magagamit i'll go for the gas variant dahil mas matipid sa maintenance at mas mura piyesa kesa sa diesel po

diesels do not have distributor, hi tension cables, sparking plugs.
fuel expenses are also cheaper by, say, 25 %.
so why is diesel vehicle maintenance more expensive than its gasoline counterpart?

We have a 2008 VVTi E variant, and I agree with this, pero dapat ma define yung "hindi gaano magagamit". Yung sa amin nakuha for 300k nung 2013 nasa 49k km mileage, pinalitan ko iridium spark plugs and palit oem na air filter, around PhP 3.5k rin. Monthly mileage ko is around 400 km, fuel is around 2.5k per month.

Parts and maintenance almost the same lang yan, sa VVTi fuel filter costs PhP 3k, pero pagpapalit mo after 80k km, isasabay mo baba ng fuel tank and replace the parts inside also. So baka abutin ka mga 6k more or less.

Sa diesel, di ko alam palitan ng fuel filter, pero at least may available ata na hindi oem, palitan is as needed. Medyo mabigat lang ay yung pag palit ng timing belt tapos yung set nya, pero after 150k km pa yun.

Sir diesel engines has a glow plug instead of a spark plug. Aside from that diesel engines has more component parts than a gasoline engine so mas madaming parts na pwede ma wear thats why siguro mas mahal maintenance ng diesel compare to gasoline engines.
