IMHO AT's are not actually as weak as you might think. Modern Honda AT's are known to hold well under abuse, which is part of the reason why Honda's are prime candidates for turbocharging, oftentimes ending up with double its original output or more. We have a 2005 Accord 2.4, currently with 103tkms. I have to say that the tranny still performs the same way it did when it was new. Our Japan surplus Granvia is now approaching 170tkms. No problems with the AT either.

However, I do agree that 450k is a bit expensive for an FD with this mileage, unless its a 2.0. I saw an FD 1.8S in Olx asking for 448k apparently with only 44tkms.

The 2.0's depreciation value is higher than that of the 1.8's due to its fuel economy concerns, so it means di nalalayo ang presyo nilang dalawa.
Meron 2006 2.0 FD casa-maintained which sold for 300k recently.

Anyhow, 450k is too expensive for a 2010 1.8s FD plus the fact that it has 100k mileage already. Unless kakilala mo yung nagbebenta and alam mong alaga talaga (plus points if casa-maintained), then siguro I'd pay 420k for that, tops.
I saw prices in OLX ranging from 380k to 480k for the 2009-2011 1.8s FD.

It also looks like concern mo talaga yung high mileage. Just wait it out kung di ka naman rush. May mahahanap ka dyan na lower mileage and cheaper 2nd hand FD for sure.

Thanks for all the insights, yeah, it seems im bugged with the high mileage. I think medyo hintay na muna ako ng lower mileage na unit.

Sa 450k budget mo, if kaya mo naman tumingin sa ibang car, that 450k will get you a good condition 2011 altis too.

Or sagad mo ng 500k-ish yung budget. Pwede na sya sa 2012 Civic (FB).

But if budget is tight, just keep on scouting for better deals, cheaper Civic FD, para yung sobrang budget mo, para sa mga repairs and essentials (change oil etc)

Yes always allot at least 10-20% of the purchase price for the maintenance and usual wear and tear parts of old (2nd hand) cars.

So kunwari strict 500k budget mo, dapat nasa 420-460k lang yung kotse mismo.
But there are these rare instances wherein nothing to fix and gastos ka na talaga for at least 6 months when it's time for change oil and/or registration, etc. Tyaga tyaga lang talaga maghanap and antay.

    Good luck!

"sentimental value" is what keeps the initlal asking price of these used cars, up.

By the way, its asking price is P450K (negotiable). So far, the car is in very good condition. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!
we have Honda City AT 2005, already at her 260k Km and still at her good condition.
