    Hello,
With 840K budget this Jan 2010, what are my options for a car that -
    - has good fuel consumption.
    - respectable safety features
    - trouble free for the next 5 years
    - can carry 5 passengers comfortably with ample cargo space
    - preferably AT
    - with dependable after sales service
    - no reported problems

    thanks for the responses...
i did not expect that there are a lot of models to choose from, since i have only three in my mind:
    honda jazz 1.5 AT
    honda City 1.5 AT
    toyota Altis 1.6 G.

now to dissect which of these models, has more bang for the buck.

Honda jazz 1.5 AT - Small. Very fun to drive and definitely easy to maneuver. However, the Toyota Yaris is better in terms of price. And, they have the same engine displacement which is 1.5

Honda City 1.5 AT - Plastics inside are very much intact. The advantage of this over the Honda Jazz would be the trunk space and the overall size. Aside from the two, I think they share the same features - led on side mirror covers, 15 in. alloy rims (?), central lock, keyless entry, power windows and stuff like that.

Toyota Altis 1.6 G. - Among the three, this is the best. It has the most comfortable seats. It has the biggest trunk space, it has the biggest engine bay ( the jazz and the city is cramped, same as the fd's ) , it has the most power , fc doesn't differ since the difference is just .1L . Obviously, it's bigger, but shares the same amenities as the 2 does.

Oh by the way, the altis has the cheapest maintenance but the PMS intervals differ. Honda do it at every 10k while toyota would be every 5k.

Correct ka dyan..The Altis G is underpowered and not that great.. Feels like its just you've bought the old Altis(oh its still based on the old Altis)..

    Same concern...

We are also planning to buy our first family car, come Jan 2010. We are incline to buy 2010 Adventure gls Sport...

    Requirements;
    - kayang mgsakay ng 7-10 person.
    - Value for money
    - low maintenance and fc
    - functional and versitile
    - may dating
    - Brand New para iwas sakit ng ulo for 3-5yrs

Budget 200k D/P max (all in), 48mos +/-20k/mo (kung may agent dyan that can also offer me a best deal)

    Salamat in advance sa info!

    Cheers!

    scharnhorst,
may point ka din sir. pero syempre iba't iba ang ating opinion at ating mga paningin sa mga sasakyan. ang sinabi ko po eh yung aking POV. peace tayong lahat dito

basta ako top of the line palagi kong gusto

    m_mangalus,
sir, dapat van talaga ang sasakyang bilihin nyo. mahirap po pagkasyanin ang sampung tao sa adventure, kahit naman sa crosswind, o kahit carens at innova.

kung kaya nyo pa i stretch yung budget, mag Grand Starex TCi kayo. nasa 1.2M ata yun sir

hehe. Different blokes, different strokes. Pero kung may pera, syempre top of the line!

personally (for toyotas) I'd draw the line between the E and G. kung gipit talaga, settle for the E variant. kung merong pera, G! mas maganda talaga yung interior and instrumentation.

*m_mangalus: yes, van talaga yan. Sa innova, the only way na magkakasya ang 10 tao would be 3 up front including the driver, 4 sa gitna, tapos 3 sa likod. it will be an uncomfortable fit

the L300 would be the cheapest, followed by the Urvan. but these are almost 1M in price - tama si Starex_Gold, if you can stretch the budget to get the Grand Starex TCi, it would be a much better vehicle

With 840K what kind of car can i bring home?
