I really wish ibalik na yung FD. Pangit nung current civic ngayon.![]()
buy a kia cd5 hatchback. it is a value for money car. what you basically want in a car is there, fuel efficiency, low maintenance cost and easy to park. then, if you decide to buy one, use your imagination on how to customize it. you will never regret. i got 3 of these toys and its worth owning, my 2 sons in college have one each. i used the other one. by the way, people use tease it due to it minimal power plant. if its an issue to you, transplant it with a bp and let your friends eat your dust.
I think my parents are starting to like the Honda Civic FD as i show it to them.
But they want to know more.
What are its pros&cons?
Nalaklak po ba dwa siya ng gas?
Can it drive for long trips(ex. batangas - baguio)
Other comments about the FD?

maraming information about the civic fd
try checking out mazda 3 din. id pick the FD anytime over the mazda 3. pero its significantly cheaper kasi mababa resale value nun. pero ang feedback sa car is mahina raw yung hatak. ang FD malakas hatak. kahit 5 people on board it wont have to crawl. its up to you if its a deal breaker. di naman titirik yung mazda 3 paakyat ng baguio so dont worry. ive never driven one though. nagagandahan lang ako sa itsura. if i were in the market for 2nd hand cars ill also be looking at this car because of the resale value. dont maximize your budget. be prepared for possible repairs. 20k for repairs would be safe. masarap din bihisan ang m3. it doesnt look dated and with proper mods its easy to make it a head turner.
Hmm. Family has a 1.8V MT and a 1.8S AT, ill answer as best as I can.
Pros:
- It's pretty economical for a 1.8L, the manual gets around 9km/l city driving, moderate traffic. The automatic gets around 7-8km/l.
- It's easy to modify, dami aftermarket parts.
- The interior doesn't feel cramped, thanks to the dashboard design
- The power is just as what you'd expect from a 1.8L Honda
- Lovely looks
- Great handling, dont know which is better, the FD's or the GE Jazz'
Cons:
- Rock hard seats
- Definitely has some issues that can be costly to fix. On our unit, the engine support gave up, the handbrake stuck, the wheel bearing got replaced and the AC is acting up right now.
- replacement/oem Parts outsude arent as abundant as Toyotas, they arent as cheap too.
- Earlier FDs have low ground clearance, so it might bottom out on humps when fully loaded
Yes it can make long trips without a problem. It's one hell of a car, a lot says it's more fun than an Altis, how they define fun, i dont know. The Altis has more comfortable seats though. Hehe.
Hope this helps.

Wow! a statement from a real user . haha. We're planning to get a m/t. In my case m/t is more that a/t.
Maintenance of its parts are costly? aw.
I see. How about the 2007 model does it have higher ground clearance?
Good thing it can travel for long trips
Thank You Sir !![]()
