Instead of Altis 1.6/V , you can also consider the phased out Altis 1.8V. A few weeks ago, you can still order it from your dealer at 975-985k after discounts.

Compared to the kinda bare Civic 1.8S, you also get auto on HID, fog lamps, rain sensing wipers, trip computer, 6-disc changer, leather w/ power driver seats, steering wheel controls, etc. If you value comfort a lot, maybe Corolla is worth the extra amount.
