mga idol, need ko po advice niyo.. after weeks of contemplating, naisip ko na mag-second hand nalang muna ulit, saka na ko magbbrandnew.. yoko muna matali ng pagbabayad sa isang bagay for 3-5years e..

anyway, may tatlo na po kong pinagpipilian.. assuming na they are all ok in terms of condition, kung kayo po papipiliin, ano po mas pipiliin niyo in terms of fuel efficiency, value for money, performance? sama na rin natin pagme-maintain?

    a. Toyota Vios AT 1.5 G 2004
    b. Honda City Type Z AT 2003
    c. Nissan Sentra GX AT 2008

Vios- cheapest maintenance and parts cost, highest resale value, cramped
Sentra- most comfortable, most spacious, lower resale value (newer unit for your budget)

I'd only get the City Type-Z in VTi form, 1.5L VTEC engine makes it the fastest among the three, and also the one with the most tuning potential. But then the VTi variant is available with manual only.

If you're getting the matic variants, don't expect excellent gas mileage, especially if your daily routes consists mostly of stop and go traffic.

Yung dati kong Sentra Exalta GS (N16) gets around 8-9 Km/L on city driving. On really bad traffic conditions, it could go down to 7-8 Km/L. Sa highway, I can get up to 12 Km/L. Mas matipid sa gas yung Vios kasi nga smaller frame eto compared sa Sentra. Yung Sentra, equivalent in size na eto sa Altis or Civic or Lancer. The Sentra N16 body is a heavy one so the GX 1.3AT will not be as efficient. You might as well get the Sentra GS 1.6AT as you get more features (ABS, all-wheel disc brakes, rear sensors), better seats, and better trims for the same body.

Oo bro. GS yung top of the line 1.6L, one step down yung GSX, yung GX 1.3L.

Just check out those fuel consumption threads.

Sobrang taas na yung mileage ng Vios bro. Kahit yung sa '06 Sentra hindi rin ganon ka baba eh. '06 Tribute namin 42tkms palang ngayon.
