Hi Tsikoters,

Recently bought a hyundai getz 2010. been reading a lot of threads on maintenance/cost of owning a car per month.
I'll be honest madami ako namiss on my checklist. ngayon ko lang narealize yung cost when owning a car..
thought it was just for parking,gas,amortization,insurance hindi ko nasama dito yung PMS (which is also costly), accessories (pampapogi at safety), Other expenses...

My monthly amortization is around 7.5k
Gas is 3k/month
Parking is 300 pesos/month (pagnasa mall lang siguro pagweekends kasi may free parking ako sa office)
Insurance/Registration LTO is 1.5k/month
Gulong,batteries around 300/month (matagal naman toh palitan so maliit lang nilaan ko per month)
PMS(???) not sure pa sa mga maintenance pero I guess around 1.5k/month dapat?
Accessories (third brake light, alarm, back sensor, mags, etc) 20k? pero one time big time na toh
Other Expense 500/month (kotong, hindi na mawawala toh i'm not a perfect driver nagkakamali talaga ako minsan at ang best way is maglagay hehehe... toll, car wash, etc.)

So in short I have to spend more or less 16k a month?!?!!?! (excluded pa dito yung upgrades/accessories kasi one time bigtime lang siya)

ganun ba kamahal to own a car? I'm a over-thinking guys? haha!

Main reason I buy a car is for convenient and safety, and I thought mas makakatipid ako kasi lagi ako taxi pag-umuuwi from office...

Please enlighten me guys! share nyo mga experience nyo at mga expense nyo hindi naman ako nagsisisi pero mas ok na yung handa sa mga expense diba?
