i was trying to sell to my wife to get HRV as our next car once we retire our Altis, pero unang tanong saken... kasing kumportable ba ng sedan ang HRV na yan? so i answer. mas malambot konti sa Innova, ayaw niya ng ride comfort ng innova kasi matagtag, kakapagod sa katawan sa long ride. so ayun... end of discussion.... siya kasi lagi naka upo sa rear seats with the kids.
may advantages pa rin ang sedan. i like having the trunk separate from the cabin. keeps whatever crap you have at the back from mixing w/ your aircon'ed air
why can't they make raised sedans w/ just a bit more ground clearance?and make those overhangs short so they don't scrape. and make the trunk lid opening BIG! what's the use of having a huge trunk if the opening is small
sometimes i think these car designers are morons
comfortable kaya sedan.
But nothing beats civic vti/s.i.r Perfectly made. Madali parallel parking. Tamang size lang for a sedan not too long not too wide. Sana talaga may mag rebadge nito padating ulit para mabuhay ulit car scene. Namismiss ko na mga angasan yung puro pabomba tambucho sa greenhills hahahahah.
Isn't this the CUV? Most CUV platforms are designed from compact cars but they have higher ground clearance and a big trunk.
Look at the trunk of the new Forester. Ground clearance of the Forester is as good as the PPVs at 220mm.
This is for the new CRV (third row folded). CRV has a lower ground clearance though against the Forester (170mm).

kung si civic ek hindi lang nakagbulutong issue eh dami pa sana yan. Grabe katibay makina at tipid manual trans. Yan ang kotse mura maintenance. Si trailing arm bushing lang madalas palitan.
Idrop na ni honda phils si brio. Mahirapan na yan tapatan si mirage. Magparating na lang sila ek every year dami pa bibili and only manual lang.
Id get a nice subcompact hatchback like the Jazz anyday. Thats my ultimate jack of all trades car (for my needs) that still can be fun to drive. Close enough to a sedan. At least it isnt a CUV or PPV.

yeah yeah crossovers. but they don't have the isolated trunk of a sedan
actually it's all about product positioning. why cannibalize your crossover sales by offering a high-ground clearance econo-sedan? that's the reason why they're not being built. it takes very little metal to increase the ground clearance by just a little bit
but actually what the average buyer needs is a cheap sedan w/ decent ground clearance, w/ a big trunk opening to be able to your swallow stuff. but of course this concept is never gonna be built![]()
They have the outback for that..... Though it aint cheap.

In the US, Honda has a product offering that kind of meets such a requirement - the Accord Crosstour. It's a niche product of sorts but more people would opt for the CRV or Pilot instead.
BMW also has the X4 that looks like a sedan on stilts.
AWD wagons are quite nice and the Outback is well-loved in the snowy regions of the US and Canada.

This humble hobo has gone everywhere. Ferry rides, long roadtrips. Easy, fun, reliable daily....best of all, nonCVT.[emoji4]
