eto ang dos sentimos ko. a salesperson should know the product he/she is selling. proper training or orientation ang kailangan. pag bago kang salesperson, dapat may cheat sheet ka.

When dealing with a salesman/woman na hindi ko kilala, I usually ask how long na siya sa company, and what work she does prior to his/her present job.
Parang nag in-interview.
I did this also when I was getting my new car, a months ago sa Toyota. Ang daming bagohan, 1 to 2 months lang sila. Finally settled with an SA na 4 years na sa Toyota.
Originally Posted by fakesaint

I beg to disagree...dito kasi sa States wala kang gagawin kundi pumirma lang ng papeles. at pag nasa luxury car dealership ka, pina-pamper ka.
Kwento lang, not sure kung totoo...
Minsan kasi may isang pinoy na pumasok sa isang dealership ng sasakyan sa US. siguro kasi dahil Asian sya at mukhang di nya kayang bumili ng sasakyan sa dealership na yun, hindi sya pinansin ng mga sales rep dun. so, lumabas sya, at pagbalik kasama nya yung promoter nya sabay bili ng sasakyang gusto nya at binayaran yung sasakyan in "cold cash."
Guess who kung sino yung bumili at ano yung binili nyang sasakyan?

we should never judge a book by its cover, pero sadly ganyan talaga majority of people in sales-pag maayos damit mo, special treatment, pag mukhang walang pambili-di pinapansin.
Niky,
what car was it by the way?nasa kanya pa ba?
My experience with Mercedes Benz was the opposite and very positive. The minute I walked in I was treated very well. The sales person was very attentive and answered all the questions I had. They even provided lunch. After selecting the color and all options I wanted I handed in my credit card for the downpayment and signed some documents and finally was given a delivery date.Originally Posted by putalittlemore

Hehe... nabuhay ang thread!
Oo nga, over-reaction talaga... and the guy admitted it and apologized to the sales rep. He was just so excited about buying the car, and he had managed to wrangle financing, all the legal papers and all the requirements for the purchase in one day that he was really taken aback at the thought that he couldn't get it right away.
Kaya nga, it's important to make sure that the customer, if they're really set on buying, doesn't leave the dealership without a vehicle.
And, no, it's not a Honda Civic... please note the date of the first post.Guess nalang kayo kung anong tsikot yun... I'll never te-ell... I'll never te-ell...
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
what dealerships tend to miss is that car enthusiasts have forums like this ... both GOOD & BAD experience of a customer can be multiplied 250x at least. word of mouth (on who is good, or bad) is the best & cheapest way of marketing their products
dapat next time punta dealership: i'm here to look at your car, btw i am from tsikot - we have about X,YYY members, hehehehehe
i think yng mga bulok na dealership depende na yan kng saan dealership e worst for me is honda libis !!!!!!! sobrang hindi ka pinapansin walang pakialam mga tao dun ! i really dont know kung bkit pa sila nagtayo ng dealership kung ganun ugali ng mga sales agent nila and this didnt happen to me once but siguro mga 5 or 6 times na kasi minsan kami ang titingin minsan naman nagpapasama mga kaibigan e yun ang nadadaanan so dun nlng !
pero in other dlearships naman like benz pga bmw toyota etc maayos naman silang kausap, accomodating at nagfofollow up sayo so besides honda libis matino naman yung ibang napuntahan namin na dealership
and for me khit na senior ka or bago ka lang mahilig ka man sa kotse or hinde you still SHOULd know kungano yung binebenta nyo na kotse specs lahat lahat its not an excuse
thats bec sales rep are more into the math.
you know, computation and comssion, Dito kasi madalas may difference pagdating sa sales. yung mortgage at mga bayarin ek ek
Secondary na lang ang technical knowhow.
Most buyers kasi alam na ang binibili nila, sa computation d nila masyado alam
generally speaking, yes but...Originally Posted by MAXBUWAYA

i should know, im a former car sales rep...![]()
C'mon... September 2004... ang hina n'yo. Ano ba ang super-hit nung time na yan?![]()
And yeah, car salespeople should really know more about their vehicles. Dealerships should take all their salespeople on test drive sessions (schedule it as a company outing) to make them appreciate the product more.
