    Peeps,

Papaano ba ang patakaran pag bumili ng kotse from those large car displays? puro agent ba ang humaharap or makakausap mo rin yung tunay na owner? malaki ba ang patong nila sa ganun?
Ang lastly, are you aware of any display na dapat iwasan when scouting for a vehicle due to a notoriously bad reputation?

    thanks!

Minimum na patong sa cartag is P100k. so pag tumawad ka ng mg 50k, paktay kay. Baratan talaga labanan diyan. Pero read the cartags carefully and note down the cell numbers. One of those would likely belong to the person who owns the CAR SLOT (not the car itself). Mas madali kausap yon kesa ahente.

As always, bring a good mechanic or at least a good critic when buying 2nd hand. Madali kasing maatat pag bibili ng auto.

I saw an Accord of a friend being sold sa Gold Park for 650K... he sold it for 525K to the dealer.

One thing about those shops is that the cars are all clean and nice because they use a "deadly" amount of rubbing compound thats normally used for newly painted cars.

    aewagon,

what particular brand, model, make are you looking at?

Stay away from Metropolis Car Exchange!
And also the other one in San Antonio Valley sa Sucat going to Paranaque City Hall, grabe sa taga ng presyo.
Also the one at Abel Nosce, BF Resort. Imagine yung L200 ng utol ko sila bumili (P220k), after a few days, dinesplay nila duon, P280k na ang presyo, eh wala naman silang ginawa or inayos dun. (Meron pala, tinanggal nila yung kinabit kong signboard na For Sale)

PK, di ba you got yours recently from a similar establishment? pakipaliwanag naman yung process kung paano na execute yung deal, how do you know na yun nga ang owner nung slot to weed out yung mga patong sa presyo ng ahente, sino magbabayad ng transfer of ownership, etc.

pahabol para kay PK, yung list price nung unit na nabili mo, magkano ang nabawas sa final negotiated price? if you don't mind.

    Glad to oblige pare.

I got my 2 pajeros from Goldpark Car Sale in Ortigas, pero magkaiba yung vendor.

Yung Pajero ko ngayon, i got around 120k off the cartag price.

Initially, kausap ko lang ay yung alipores. Pero i got some some mobile numbers off the cartag and tinawagan ko. One of the numbers was that of the owner of the lot. I arranged a meeting and nakipagtawaran. Siguro we spent 2hrs bargaining. Kaya tumagal kasi ite-trade-in ko si PJERO.

Halos imposible mo makausap yung actual owner nung vehicle for sale. In the first place, hindi naman papayag yun ipa-consign yung kotse nya kung may time pa siya maghanap and makipag-nego a direct buyers.

Besides, yung previous owner ng auto ko ngayon is a Supreme Court justice... no doubt a busy man. If you dont want to go through the hassle of baratan blues, I suggest maghanap ka na lang ng direct seller.

IN my case kasi, nakakapagod maghanap at lumagari ng metro manila, besides, yung unit na nakuha ko is in true A1 condition.

    Goodluck pre!

    pajerokid,

Here in the US, we have the CarFax.com service which we can use to order reports about the vehicle using the VIN [Vehicle Identification number] or dyan sa atin, chassis number. It will tell you the odometer reading, damages if any etc. pero nothing about the engine pero magkakaroon daw. If you want to see a sample, email me.

Sa sobrang daming auto dealers dito, patayan sa presyo. What they call below invoice pricing. A good dealer is Carmax.com, where we got our '03 Mitsu. Galant ES with only 8650 miles on it.

Sa GoldPark din galing ang Pajero ko. Most agents rent about 5 slots each dun sa Gold Park. Just browse around.

Those huge car parks that sell 2nd hand or shall I put it 2nd hand haven is just leased out slots by the lot owner. Alam ko nasa 10-30K a month ang rental, so they have to earn it.

Usual na makakausap mo sa mga ganyan mga 2nd hand agents or who in is charge for that particular vehicle. Don't be decieved with its looks. Makikinis at makikintab karamihan yan. But it is necessary to check all the parts; engine, body (lalo na wheel wells), mouldings and etc. Know the ins and outs of the vehicle that you want to purchase. Some minor quirks can lead into a purchase disaster.

wow, 120k off the cartag price seems a lot of baratan nga. so lets say the cartag stated 1.1M pesoses, magkano ang dapat na bungad mo na tawad?

and yung ffup question ni frankdrebin, after magkasundo sa presyo, whats next? did you have the vehicle makro etched sa lto/tmg pa?

    tenks.

Well, the bigger the amount, the bigger the discount!

Dont sell yourselves out mga bro. BARATIN YAN MGA YAN! hehehe

Tama yung approach mo sa tawad aewagon. Kaya lang dont hold your breath.

In my case, after magkasundo sa presyo, nag earnest money ako ng P10k, punta ako sa aking paboritong bank manager and withdraw the rest of the cash (Nalulungkot nga yung manager tuwing nakikita ako eh hehe). Tapos, kaliwaan, car key for cash. In my case, pinagpalit ko pa yug sound system and mags. since the opportunity was there, dumerecho kami sa TMG for macro etching. After a week or two, tinawagan na ako na tapos na ang transfer and i went back to pick up the OR and CR and that's it.

    PK,

Question. Bago mo ba kunin/bilhin yung unit pina-check mo pa ba sa TMG or Crame kung me record yung sasakyan?
