    Hi,

So my wife and I decided na i-try ang Uber as a side business. Help us decide which one to get. Budget aside, our criteria will be:
    • inexpensive maintenance cost
    • very efficient fuel consumption
    • durability
    • secondary na lang siguro ang looks

    Here are our choices:

    year model/tranny mileage price
    2015 Toyota Vios 1.3E AT 18,000km Php 490,000
    2015 Toyota Vios 1.3J MT 24,000km Php 441,000
2015 Mitsubishi Mirage GLX CVT AT 18,000km Php 387,000
    2013 Hyundai Elantra 1.6 GL MT 12,000km Php 485,000

Help us pick which one is the best

    Thanks!

Ang taas ng mileage ng dalawang vios at mirage ah. Saan ginamit yan?
-Cross out elantra. 2013 sya so sayang yung 2 years na pwede mo gamitin pang uber (7 years lang life span ng uber car)
-maybe i'll pick the mirage cheapest of them all. Fuel efficient.
    - more or less di nagkakalayo maintenance cost nyan

Easy choice vios. Maintainance, parts, mechanics that are familiar, toyoya reliability. Id run away from Korean. A buddy who has a taxi service got rid of 6 of his diesel Hyundai's after awhile due to maintenance issues and durability. Now he owns 21 vioses as taxis

The fact that a lot of taxi operators never picked up the second gen diesel Accents and switched back to the Vios speaks volumes on reliability.

How about the FC of Vios AT vs Vios MT? I read here in the forums na medyo mataas ang FC ng Vios AT?

    i'll pick the mirage.
on the question, yes.... significantly mas mataas ang FC ng AT to MT.
average of around 2 kpl difference.

What you posted is a Mirage hatchback, right? Isn't it too small if the rider will have stuff to put in the compartment? Also, the Mirage (whether hatchback or G4 sedan) has soft rear suspension.

Vios MT is your safest choice, I think. Kung merong Vios E na manual sana.

Only 20% goes to Uber. Then you decide how you split the 80% between you and your driver. If you do it fulltime, you keep the entire 80% but di sulit. Mas malaki pa rin kita sa ordinary corporate job, di ka pa pagod.

So many uberx out there already, saturated na para sa kin to gain advantage, offer the Uber Black cars. i rode a lot of Montero non-VGT MT's lately sa Uber. Parang difference of P100 lang naman sa X

Sa business na ganito na wveryone else wants a piece of the action. Would you beleive even housewives club want this as side business, You should differentiate na kagad. Uber black caters a different market. i for one dont wanna ride in a small wigo or mirage. i drive with My Suv.

We get uber service, pag say may lunch function or cbd to cbd travel na di na kelangan mag-park or mahassle sa traffic drive, puwede pa relax to prepare for meeting

Dami restaurants sa fort and makati, na walang parking lot or scarce parking lot
