    Hi guys!

I was trying to negotiate a car deal when someone offered me some cars. CD5 for dropping and 94Kia LX private and drop.

What does private and drop mean in car negotiation? I don't want to look a complete noob especially in dealing with sellers.(they usually take advantage of my being clueless if I I ask them...)

not really 100% but from what I understand...

"private" means it is a privately owned and operated car. It is not a taxi.

"drop" means the current license plate has been canceled or in the process of being canceled. This might be a sign that the car has been a former taxi cab.

It's you again.^_^ By any chance, are you a fan of the anime ghosthunter?

Is it okay to invest on cars with plates on the verge of being cancelled?

nope. my handle's origin is from my earlier computer days.

From my opinion, not really. Very few local cars actually keep their value over time and much fewer actually increase in value. The only reason why you would like to keep old plates would be for sentimental reasons.
