congestion fee, high parking fee etc.
diba ganyan din sa Singapore. pero as I mentioned earlier, looks like sa Japan lang sya gumana.
Last trip namin sa Tokyo, a friend was going to bring us to a place where only locals go to shop and eat (no English) - he decided to check-in near our hotel, mas mura pa daw matulog sa hotel for 2 nights kesa magbayad ng parking sa pupuntahan namin.
Same guy, sinamahan kami magsimba - since he's not Catholic, umikot ikot na lang sya sa Church for 1.5hours. mas mura daw gas nya compared to the parking fee malapit sa church!
Same during our visit to Norway, colleagues booked a hotel overnight after our dinner. Uber will be super expensive daw since they live outside the city. Driving their car is too risky since mahal ang fine if mahuli sila na naka-inom and parking is expensive!
Minsan nakakatuwa na nagcomplain tayo na mahal ang parking... 300/day ako dati sa Makati
When our friend asked me kung magkano yun in USD, I told him around USD 5/day. He told me he pays minimum USD 50/day parking![]()
I'm getting an International Driving Permit from AAP
first time ko gagamitin itong issue ng AAP.
may Singapore Driver's License ako which I normally use when travelling overseas, pero di na ako resident ng Singapore ngayon kaya baka-magkaroon pa ng issue when releasing the rental car kaya mabuti na yung sigurado.
Parang di ata magamit Phil DL natin.
Yung kakilala kong mga pinoy dun na may PH driver's license na, nag take pa sila ng driving lessons + exam.
At least 500k yen needed para makakuha nito.
Malas if di ka pumasa sa exam, another 500k yen ulit na gastos.
Dun lang ata sa may go cart magagamit yung PH DL natin. Sa may Shibuya ata yun na area.
Wherein we can drive in the city using go cart.
My friends drove when they went there. They did the sports car rentals and drive around Mt Fuji area.
The International Driver's Permit issued by AAC was accepted. Valid for one year, but more than that and you need to acquire a Japanese DL na.
You need to tell AAP that you need the Geneva Convention format if you're going to Japan, or they might issue you the Vienna Convention instead.

US car sales data was released a week or two ago:
Pretty wild that the Ford F-series alone is almost a big as our entire car industry (based on CAMPI's target of selling 500k cars this year).
