Hi guys! I'd just like to inquire if it is indeed mandatory that the car registration sticker for the year should be stuck on the windshield? Kasi i'll be shipping my vitara over from Bacolod and what I did was merely "laminate" the registration sticker and jam it inside the car in the lower left corner of the windshield between the glass and the dashboard.

Yes, it's mandatory. Pero kung nalaminate ninyo na at di na pwede idiki then have it always seen sa windshield and always bring a photocopy of the current registration. Minsan pagtinopak ang enforcer basta patitigilin ka nalang. At least you can show it to them na registered Vitara ninyo. Goodluck. :D

boybi: I see. So you just "jam" the laminated sticker on the corner just like what I do? If not, then how do you attach it to your inner windshield?

Sabi sakin mas malaking sabit daw yun kapag nakitang laminated. You're better off just telling the kotong cop na nabasag ang windshield mo recently. Anyways, may license plate stickers ka naman (unless you are my father na hindi naglalagay ng license plate tags).

come to think of it, I'm planning to have my car fully tinted including the front windshield, paano na nga ba ang gagawin ko dun sa windshield sticker ko?

    sauman,

also, pwede na rin tanggalin yung conduction stickers after obtaining the license plates diba?

Ano ba use of sticking that damn ugly thing in your
windshield? Meron namang another set of stickers
doon sa license plates para malamang rehistrado
    na sasakyan mo.
Just thinking aloud dahil its such a dumb regulation.

What I do is stick the LTO sticker on a clear thin plastic sheet (used for covering books). Then place the sticker with clear tapes on my full tinted windshield.

Pwede naman tanggalin after obtaing your legitimate license plates. But some automotive traders don't take it off, para daw dagdag resale value ng sasakyan. :?:

I recall conductions stickers are there so that a vehicle fresh from the factory or in the case of auctions from the pier can be driven legally on the road for 7 days ONLY until the regular registration is obtained. :D

same as the others, i had my stickers laminated, pinantay ko yung borders na parang walang lamination and dinikit ko lang sa windshield by using ultra-transparent tape (scotch tape).

since superdark yung tint ko sa windshield, hindi na sya halata na laminated. saves my windshield tint too.
i've been doing that for three years na. wala namang naninita.

hehehe.. when i had my city before.. wrap around ang tint niya. . dinidikit ko lang dun sa tint.... so far.. experience ko was, mas madaling tanggaling yung sticker ng LTO sa tint compared sa walang tint. of course kailangan malinis yung pinagdikitan in the first place... kasi sa 4 years kong niregister yung city.. i can peel of the sticker completely.... nde napupunit compared sa mga cars namin na walang tint...

    roydok,

7 days??? that's about the time it takes for the LTO to process ONE transaction...

yung venture namin walang conduction stickers from the casa..., and it took three months for the LTO to get off its ass and issue plates... yung cr-v naman tagal din walang plates...

    Sir mbt,

Yon po sabi sa akin minsan sa casa. Kaya daw po tinawag na conduction sticker to give it time for transfer from the factory or pier (auctions) to the showroom. Anyway I do share/agree with your arguements.

same kami ni happy gilmore. full tint windshield ko and for the past 2 years, laminated lang yung reg sticker tapos double sided tape na clear pandikit. so far, wala pang nanghuhuli naman sakin eh. ang alam kong importante tlga e yung nakadikit yung reg stickers sa license plates. yan tlga tinitingnan ng mga mmda sabi ng dad ko.
