Rustproofing is also done by third parties. I used to stay with relatives in Las Pinas near the Tuffkote Dinol shop. One night, I saw a convoy of brand new Honda vehicles from Honda Alabang being brought inside Tuff Kote, probably for rustproofing/undercoating the next day.

AFAIK, only Ziebart drills holes when they rustproof cars while Tuffkote does not.

Chevy is offering 0% interest on the Lumina & Trailblazer.

    50% down.

3 years to pay for the Lumina is 0% interest.

1 year to pay for the Trailblazer is 0% interest.

    Yup.

Don't they just spray that black goo on the wheel well and the underside of the car? Drilling doesn't make sense.
You might be refering to undercoating.

I don't think they're that meticulous. Like I said check your comparment and other areas in your cars interior for rustproofing residue.

AFAIK rustproofing is different from undercoating

    How so?

Back in the late 80's and early 90's, rustproofing and undercoating are quite interchangeable words that seem to mean one thing and that is having your car sprayed that black goo underneath at your nearest TuffKote or Ziebart branch. From the mid to the late 90's, car dealers started doing this task in-house probably to save cost.

Now I think rustproofing means dipping the body in a rust/corrosion treatment during the production process in the factory.

If you have no plans of keeping the car no longer than 5 years. then wag ka pa rustproof.

The steel that they use are already rust proof, I know, we make steels from raw material & process them until they become rolled steel sheets w/ zink coat, it only need a retouch of rust proofing where they weld, drill or cut.
I drive a car for 5 yrs, 100,000 km already, never have undercoating or rustproofing and we get winter, use salt in the road.
I can not find any evidence of rust. Car is Hyundai Sonata 2000 model.

I bought my car last week in the month of june this year (i got my car june 30)... I start making business to the SA in the month of April, I gave my number when were not ok/agree about the price..

Then the SA call me up in the month of june... then I got the price I want with free LTO (3yrs), Free 3m tint & 50% discnt comp insurance.

talo talaga ang buyer pag nagmamadali at nadala ng SA.

Good tip Speedy... makakatulong talaga yan sa buyer
