Sa bangko ko P115 ata charge ng MC Baka mas feel nila cash payment pag paper bills. AFAIK wala naman counting machine ang casa. Imagine counting 10 bundles of 1000 for a P1M car

In our last purchase, a couple of months ago,- we paid using personal check.

I asked them what bank they have affiliation with. It is a good thing that it is also one of the banks we have money deposited.

So,- cleared on the same day,- and the unit delivered the following day.

For my last car purchase, I transferred the DP via wire transfer to the dealer's nominated bank account.

You'd think mas gusto nalang talaga ng dealer ang cash or mc. Since sa credit card mababawasan pa kita nila bilang merchant.

Sadly dito sa Pilipinas bro, almost all of the times, wala bro. Payong lang makukuha mo.

I remember accompanying a friend is the US. He was buying a Previa with SRP of $32k...

He was able to negotiate to buy it at only $25k after a couple of hours, telling the dealer "I will buy but only at $25k because that's the only money I have"...

We got the unit on the same day, after he wrote a check.

You will not be able to do that here... Cartel ang mga dealers dito e.

Normally, you will get a big discount for previous year models... Especially if the model was refreshed or an all new model is available...

But sadly, for current models, you only get the basic stuff...

May article earlier na dealerships earn very little from cash buyers... Majority of their income will come from financing (inhouse and bank), maintenance, parts and accessories.

Same reason why sales agents will prioritize the young buyer na pormang porma to buy their first car... Normally installment sila with very little for down payment... Yung late-30's (and older) daw na naka pambahay/shorts might buy in cash and maliit lang kikitahin nila.

And even with that, no advantage for cash buyers vs those buying on loan....

Depends on the vehicle model you are purchasing ... if it is an in demand model, no discount ... you'll be lucky if they allocate you a unit ... but for models that are slow moving or if the company is trying to meet sales quota, you will get a discount ...

    as walter said, no.
if the unit is in hot demand, you'll be lucky if they put your name in the list.
what they might do, if SA is not your friend, is put you at the bottom of the list. and the bottom... and the bottom...
they make more money on installment buys and less money on cash buys.
if SA is your friend, he'll put your name on the list, fair and square, or he might even advance your name. and you'll be lucky if you get 10K discount. you'll get 30K , but you'll have to shoulder the LTO and compre insurance, if you want one. he will just make his pile on the other installment customers.

discounts are for slow-moving models or outgoing models. and you'll still have to haggle tooth and nail if they see you're a newbie. some veteran buyers kasi, wait for these models and pounce on them...

So is it ok to say upfront you will be financing then later say "ay cash na lang pala". Our first purchase kasi we said upfront cash talaga. Kaya siguro maliit yung discount.
